This is a weird way of saying, "I haven't let my ex go, I'm concsiously making a decision to cheat on my wife, I know it's wrong (but I'm doing it anyway), and I need someone out there to feel terrible for me to absolve me of guilt."

This is bringing up fond memories of a ex that dumped me everytime he ran into a girl he had a crush on and then the next day called to say he made a mistake. I was super young and always took him back. The self doubt about your own worth these men instill is a real thing.

Men like this act super insecure, and is why If I ever enter a relationship I will not only vet, but enter pre-marital counseling. It mind boggles me that men act like this, but as the saying goes.
