Reddit is full of incels who want to whitewash their subculture and demonize women. That's why any mention of incel-led crimes prompts a response of "no, they're just depressed virgins!"

That's also why FDS frequently gets compared to incels despite the complete lack of crimes done in this group's name. Funny how we're supposedly exactly the same, yet face 10x the backlash.

Crazy thing- I was actually at the spot of this attack a week to the day earlier. I hardly ever go to Toronto but my friend and I wanted to try out this ramen place we saw on ig while we were visiting and then one week later this happened. I was shook af. We almost postponed our trip a week which is the really fucked part. I had never even been to that part of the city before.

It is the weirdest thing when I see anyone call this place a hate sub.

I fell for it first initially, but after actually reading posts and getting an idea for what people are conveying here it couldn't be further from the truth. There's a lot of fed up women, fed up with being abused by men and not willing to take that behavior anymore. That's empowering, not hateful. Also, I don't see anyone trying to encourage or give tips as to how to emotionally damage people or harm people. It's far more just about allowing yourself to have standards, demand respect, and not feel bad about that. Scary

It all seems like a great deal of projection that misogynistic hate subs/"pick mes" basically for lack of better way to put it, try to claim "FDS" bad. After you actually read a little bit, it's very obviously not.

According to his forensic psych evaluations he wasn’t even an incel, he just claimed to be one as he knew he’d get more notoriety and the incel community would gobble it up and praise him, which they did. Incels don’t want to admit that the killer wasn’t an incel because that would mean they’d have to finally admit that there are other people in the world who are far more pathetic than them. Their whole philosophy ceases to exist if they can’t claim the top spot for victimhood lol.

In light of depraved men committing mass murder for popularity, the judge’s ruling also included a suggestion that future cases avoid using the names of defendants who commit these crimes so they don’t get the attention they’re so desperate for. Less publicity for these killers will also mean less idols for incels to jerk off to and worship in their moms’ basements, it might bore them so much that leading a normal life might finally seem appealing.

Anyway, I am relieved at the verdict and that his autism defence wasn’t accepted to claim insanity/not be criminally responsible. Crossing all fingers he gets an exceptionally long sentence, especially since he showed no remorse and said he’d do the crime again if he could.
