I've decided to carry on with the esteem boost and level up by making some wardrobe adjustments. My current issue is that the going style, at least in the South, is this almost baggy Boho-esque boutique look. Dresses with little shape, baggy even, yet short. On me it is quite unflattering. It feels and looks like a tent. If it isn't this shapeless tent dress, it's a wide leg romper that is equally baggy even in the smallest sizes. I'm also looking for nicer but casual suitable shoe options...to get away from just Birkenstock type slides and sneakers.

Now, I'm not looking for bodycon dresses and skin tight stuff, but I'd like to have something that is shapely and figure flattering without being trashy. Clothing that actually has a shape off the rack and won't need full reconstruction at a tailor. I've found one LBD I love from a shop that usually doesn't have shaplier dresses that only needed a little hemming.

I have a fit, athletic body type with larger than average bust(at least where I live) and proportional hips...but I've also got wider shoulders. These shapeless tent clothes hang off my bust like a tablecloth or curtains and I end up with no defined waist and looking heavier than I am. Anyone else have this issue?

What stores do you like? Websites? One that has solid options and allows measurements to be added to fine tune fit, not just S/M/L sizing would be great.
