Being hard to get stops your time being wasted, don't let the fact that a guy is younger flatter you into going 50-50, and don't invite him into your bed prior to 3 months minimum of consistent effort on his part (or whatever the usual time you've set for yourself is, point is do everything the same as if he was your age/older).

Storytime: I matched with a man a little younger than me -- in his 40s-- on an OLD site. He seemed nice, had a professional career, etc. I asked him if he wanted kids (I don't) and he did, he said that he wanted to have a family someday. I told him that I didn't, and he said, "That's okay." He asked me out to coffee. I unmatched without another word.

So, he thought I'd be good enough for a cheap date, and he'd perhaps use me for sex until his dream girl comes along. Nope. Watch out for this behavior, ladies. Don't let any man use you for sex. Men are quite devious and have zero guilt about wasting an older woman's time, because they barely regard you as human.

He said “MUCH older than me” but the lower end of the age range he set up is only 6 years older than him. 🤣 If a woman said that, she’d be attacked, lmfao. For women, “much older” has to mean 10, 15, 20 years older than her, or scrotes get offended. 6 years is considered par for the course if the guy is the older one, and a woman with a guy 6 years older than her doesn’t usually even call him “an older guy” unless the woman is 18 and the guy 24 or something. A 31 year old woman wouldn’t call a 37 year old man “much older” or scrotes would flip.

My cheating narcissist ex was younger than me and I don't know if I'd ever date younger again. I got pregnant by him (ugh, though my son is wonderful) and we tried to make a go of it. I ended up feeling like I was pulling EVERYONE'S weight -- he is just a man-boy who was spoiled by his mom and wanted another woman to manage the boring parts of life for him but offered no appreciation or reciprocal kindness, and cheated and lied when things get inevitably harder in a long term relationship. I really wish there was FDS before I met him.

I date men between 26/27 and 39, I am 33. I have kind of a relaxed attitude towards sex and would never wait months with it. Mostly because many men are not good at sex and I don't want to encounter this kind of disappointment after I am already too attached.

I look younger and as an artist I have not really the lifestyle of many other women my age but I am 33, so that's a fact.

It happened a few times already that younger guys pursed me for a FWB thing, probably thinking in their back of their mind that's a good way to spend time until they find the young disney princess of their dreams to wife up.

But sooner or later the power balance always shifted and they tried to lock me down, despite my age. Usually as soon as they realized I am not head over heals for them and have no intention to start a serious relationship.

Needless to say I didn't want to be in a relationship with any of them, why should I, the way they think and are is just not attractive for anything serious.

Stuff like this put me off of online dating. I broke my engagement and cancelled my wedding at 29, almost 30. I just turned 32, and look much younger than my age between being petite and just decent skincare/eating habits and probably some good genes from my 2 grandmas. Online dating with a "3" instead of a "2" for the first digit of your age has a lot of men making assumptions that you're "husband shopping" and will put up with their bullshit, or that you've "hit the wall" and are only good for sex. I'm not interested in men with bad attitudes like that, and not interested in being treated like a human fuckdoll, so no more OLD for me.
