When I watched the show a long time ago my impression of his character was that he was written to be a stereotypical loser. However if he wasn't also made goofy/lovable then the show would no longer remain a comedy. So I can see why the character was what it was. I've never seen a person like that in real life. Usually if they are so terrible then they are also bitter and vindictive or manipulative. But yeah the relationship with April was cringe especially since April was portrayed to be this IDGAF strong female character.

Same with ‘new girl’. Watched it a few years back, liked it and just rebinged it again recently. What on earth??? So much drama, complications, LVM behaviour. Not all was bad but enough to make you cringe.

He's the DEFINITION of manbaby. Idk how tf anyone finds that attractive. When I was watching the series, April and Andy's relationship grossed me out so hard because it was also an age gap relationship but he was still a manbaby?? Also, I hate how he treated Ann like trash, but they gave him a redemption arc with April.

Andy makes me so angry. Everyone loves him but he's such a child. He treated Ann like shit then was surprised Pikachu face when she finally dumped him. Then he stalked her. April was a total pick me and is now married to a man baby. Andy also is insanely lucky with how he lands jobs it's so unrealistic and irritating. I love this show to pieces but I always fast forward through most Andy scenes.

I was literally thinking about that this morning as I browsed shows!! No lie! Hahaha. His character is fugly , frumpy, fat, dusty and useless. Rashida Jones is way outta his league and it’s cringe asf to watch her character tolerate a shred of his BS!!

Chris Pratt in real life and in the show is really gross and immature. I used to love Parks and rec but upon rewatching I was also horrified by Andy. He really is disgusting.

I LOVE Donna and Tom Haverford in that show. I even love Ron Swanson and Leslie Knope. The only 3 people I don’t like are Andy, April, and Anne.

Their relationship was “successful” in LV terms because April was like 19 when they started dating. They even bring up the age difference in the show. Andy is mentally a child and could not get a 26-28 year old woman to like him, so he resorts to dating teenagers. Gross.
