I saw a video of a panel of psychologists talking about the differences in men and women. One of the men said women are not biologically wired to cheat, and the woman psychologist said we don't actually know that because women historically didn't have the freedom/opportunity to do so. She said if you look at the stats now, men and women cheat at about the same rate, but we know their reasons given for cheating are different - men cheat for physical motive and women cheat for emotional. I'm starting to wonder if that is why reddit considers emotional affairs worse than physical affairs.

Reddit is easier when you realize that the majority of users are between the ages of 12 and 20. They are also predominantly male. Most of them have never had a real job or been in a relationship. A token few may have had a high school dating experience.

It's scenarios like that which remind me reddit has a skewed perception because it's mostly men and they have no clue or empathy as to what it's like to be a woman. Most of them hate women anyways. They want to fuck women sure, but most men on reddit don't actually like women. That crap, trying to put the blame on her when she's the one working more? Just typical reddit misogyny I hate to say. Some posts get hit harder by incels than others it seems like. WTF is right.

As someone who taught people who were 12-20, trust me when I say their brains are not at all mature, and it shows. Yes, sometimes they can be profound, witty, even wise -- for their age. But they don't have that life experience; they don't have any real concept of nuance, and most of them have a hard time grasping other, very different points of view. Most of them parrot what they've been taught, and if they're lucky, they're beginning to question it and come to their own conclusions, which takes time, more experience, more pre-frontal cortex development. The most I'd say when some kid just insisted on their way of seeing things is to say, there's a lot more to this issue than you realize now. It didn't put them down or condescend; it let them know that issues were a lot more complex than they realized now, and I hoped they would come to see all sides.

It's OK to be anti-capitalist and still participate in the system because that's what we're forced to do to fucking survive. Ugh. My husband is far from perfect, but at least he knows I have to have help around the house and helps with the stuff I can't physically do, or mentally handle. And he's the only one who works. But he still knows that my adhd gets in the way often and that I need lots of help to keep things running somewhat smoothly.

I hope she finds this post and sees that she isn't a salty bitch or a narc. She's an adult asking another adult to step up. He IS NOT A TEENAGER. He should NOT be working part time, taking naps, and playing around all day while his wife pays for a maid. Men will defend this situationship to the bitter end because this is a teen boys fantasy, to barely work, never handle chores, and be able to play games and jack off all day on someone else's dime. And it makes the ones who do want more look much better.

They hate that we can choose, that we don't need them anymore, and that they actually have to be decent, likable people. At least, the majority hate it. They don't even like women. They like the body and having access to it, but remind them you are human and they lose their fucking mind.

Seriously. Go up to any male, ask what his favorite model/actress/pornstar is and remind them she poops too, that she eats, and that she (likely) has periods. Most will go "eeewwww yuuuck, you just RUINED favorite female he objectifies for me! I can never unsee that!" ... most hate to remember that we aren't sexdolls, we don't just vanish or need nothing other than sex, that we have feelings and emotions, and that they have to put in more and more effort instead of just laying the pipe.
