I just got let go from my job recently.

I'm late 20s/early 30s. and luckily i got some severance pay, so I am sitting on a nice check of cash. But it didn't start that way homie. And I'm trying to keep it that way-- I study my craft (programming, web dev) every day to make sure I can get the next job... or make sure I have a good enough skillset to start my own small company.

But Dude... I've gotten fired a couple times and quit several jobs.

Don't feel so bad about the job. Fuck 'em

Here's my secret:

As long as you have good skills, which are in demand in the economy in which you are located, you can find a job easily.

So, if that's not currently you-- then set it as a goal.

Think about skills you want to explore.

Here are some ideas:

Go here: https://www.lynda.com/ and put your mouse cursor over 'Libary' (just to left of the search bar). Those areas represent skills that are in demand by businesses around the country. That's office job stuff though.
Look at trades skills. I just googled 'trades skills list' and found this list of 43 'highest paying trade school jobs in america' https://www.trade-schools.net/articles/trade-school-jobs.asp

Now, I've been teaching myself programming since I was mid-20s. A few years later, I've gone from $13 & $20 per hour jobs which were hardly even relevant to programming, to a $50 per hour job (in a different, bigger city and more techy city, mind you) where I completed a cool programming project which inspired me to keep going in this field. And probably even get into another field in another few years, and bring my programming skills with me, and make even more $ hopefully working as my own boss.

What I'm trying to say is: building skills is a long term commitment, whether you teach yourself these skills or take classes. So, get into it for the long term.

With skills, you're not gonna be a rock star over night. But at least get on the path and start taking steps forward. Those steps will build up into a skillset and habit of learning & applying your skills. Thats when you start to get paid well-- once those skills develop and begin blooming (i.e skill learning curve ).

That's my advice at least.

Ya know what I was doing around age 25 or 26? Working part time, while living in a tent on a farm property, which I found thru a friend of a friend. They let me camp there. I build skills for 6 months, and got an entry level job in technology. Why? because I sacrificed living in an apartment for living at a dirty hippie /trailer camp, in a tent, just to reduce my costs. But hey-- that was just how I managed to make enough time (by not having to work as much, since I didnt have rent or bills-- I worked for the farmer for my rent. For similar situations, google 'Wwoof USA' or WWOOF <your country's name>. Its a work exchange program where you work for farm owners part time, and get your room & food provided by them. You don't get paid though. What I'm saying is get set up in a situation where you can commit a lot of time to learning a certain skill set. This will help you get an entry level job in that field. Thats just how I did it though-- by making financial & lifestyle sacrifices. It's likely you will need to make sacrifices to get into a new field if its a field that requires a decent investment in skills.)

Or... you can go get into a career where you build skills on the job. But in my opinion, they're less skilled-- less hard skills at least. Such as sales, real estate, etc.

Me-- I prefer the harder, more mentally challenging stuff.

Some ppl prefer the physically challenging stuff.

Other ppl are ok w/ the emotionally challenging stuff I guess.

TLDR: Your last job? Fuck 'em. Forget about their bullshit. Focus on yourself. Forget your problems, focus on your solutions. Research the skills you want to build and make it your goal. Make whatever sacrifices you need to (short term) to be successful in the long term. Because success doesn't happen overnight.

I got fired friday. 26 years of employment (not all at one place) and I got fired on very literally made up stuff. The new PM, a woman (which I've worked for many women bosses, never had an issue) would call me the past couple of months to scream at me, try the typical shame and blame, strawman arguements..and yeah, I got fired. The first time you finish your work early and are asked to do something that is not your job, do it with a smile. Come in the next day and work 10% slower. Rinse and repeat until you are finishing up just before it's time to punch out.

If you have grander ambition such as promotion, bust ass at full speed, take on whatever else they want you to do, do it with a smile. Upon promotion, if you become the supervisor, you can then brow beat them into doing their job, or sack them as the situation dictates.

If you work an admin job then your not required to lift. You can say you have a bad back and it prevents you from lifting and that is why you chose an admin job. Being slightly more diplomatic may allow you to navigate the pitfalls.

I recommend that you get yourself another job. Eat shit for a while and start to save money. Once you have money and a marketable CV then you are in a stronger position. Until then, MGTOW or not, you perhaps need to be a little more humble.

Hit up your local jobcentre and see if they can get you on an IT training program as an added bonus, or contact your local centre that provides traineeships to see if they can get you some training that may lead onto an apprenticeship, or even better, apply for apprenticeships in IT if you can afford to. Being MGTOW your costs should be minimal in terms of your basic needs so you should be able to survive with state assistance. If all that fails, get a crappy job, stick it out and at the same time concentrate on getting your qualifications for IT in your time at home. I personally used to work in IT and lost interest because of the sheer idiocy of people I used to provide the service to. Now offices are becoming predominantly female, if you aren't a blue pill mangina with a feminine voice and a forgivable attitude you probably wont last. Do not openly voice your views on women as you will also get attacked by your co-workers for your views.

OP, if you live in the UK , you should try looking into traffic management. It involves putting out signs, cones and traffic lights.You will need to do a NRSWA or a street works course.It will be a one day course and will cost about £160.You will also need to get a CSCS card.Once you have done these course you should approach agencies like Coyles and they will find you work.You should also become self employed by forming a LLC or limited company.This will enable you to set off your expenses against tax. The other advantage is that very few women work in this field and those that do are in offices and away from the actual work. Definitely get into IT. My current job is amazing, do what I love with zero to no pressure. It can get hard landing your first job because the competition is fierce, but as long as you have a solid, up-to-date portfolio and don't shit your pants doing the interview you'll be fine. Get some Certificates as well if you can, employers love it, but not some online-test bullshit like W3Schools. That is completely worthless.

I've been in IT for over 20 years. Company I was at for 10 years sold and since then, finding a job has been a nightmare.

I've tried factory work. And I DO WORK. Doesn't matter. I was pulling around a pallet cart, doesn't matter. Eventually, people 'smell' that you're smart and won't tolerate injustice and they want to fucking KILL you.

Unfortunately, the men out there are now the 4th generation of men raised by women. They operate like women. They always try to please the women and they think they going to get favours for it. Males are "dominating" other men to attempt to please women. Lazy entitled women. It's men that don't know how to say no. And THEY are running companies!

Ok here is something that is a reality that took me a while to learn... jobs and promotions are not necessarily for the hardest working or most productive... there is this social element where you need to fit into the culture etc... your boss has to like you, your coworkers usually have to think highly of you... so there is this element of politics etc that has to be played to survive... if you figure that part out you will do well if productive... you are playing a perception game... how are you perceived... it’s not a multiple choice test, it’s an open ended test with variations of what will work based on the job, the boss, the company culture and your coworkers... master that and you will be valued... perception rules over reality... also if that is too distasteful for you, consider being an entrepreneur... a service oriented business might be good for you if you finish things fast... charge by the job, not the hour, you will end up making more money... maybe home repairs or something... just some thoughts... I know it can be hard to change the thought process around work and jobs... but it is something that I haven’t seen operate differently... hang in there, you are still young... use a learning approach... always trying to learn and be more helpful to bosses and coworkers... how you present yourself will matter... helpful, humble versus arrogant... anyways hopefully something to think about that could shed some light on having success as an employee...

Over 50 job sackings is fatal to a career. It will be enormously hard to fix this. Getting work from an agency is causing a bad work record. I assume this is because the employer isn't hiring you, but paying the agency? If so, they are free to terminate you at any time for no reason at all. Not quite the same thing as getting employment directly and being sacked. You really need some solid work experience.

As you already know, people don't like you. You have to find out what they don't like and fix it. Hygiene: clean teeth, no bad breath, no body odour, well dressed for the work place and clean clothes. Manner: clear pronunciation, good English skills, respectful tone even if someone does not deserve it, straight forward dialog and honesty, refraining from gossiping or complaining about work or personal issues. Work ethic: accuracy, efficiency, care of work place safety and helpful to others - this does not mean you are a doormat. Be aware that women want to feel validated, do some of the lip service because you working silently and not ackowledging them will put them against you. Do some pointless niceties without wasting valuable time. Don't let them tell you secrets though, they will need to turn on you later because you know something.

You have to reinvent yourself. Doesn't mean selling out your MGTOW, it means playing the game enough to achieve your goals.

Sorry for your woes, brother. I recommend a career in the trades where your productivity and dedication will be rewarded and there is solid room for advancement. This will build on your marketable skillsets as you learn from the professionals. Eventually you will be skilled enough to not need an employer. Instead, you will be your own employer as you move out on your own into your very own small business. This is how I got my start. Give customers a great job at a fair price and you're reputation and customer base will grow. If you make a mistake, own up to it, repair and make the customer happy.

You really need to get out of the warehouse industry, man. Especially ones you get from staffing agents, they truly do not give a fuck because they'll have someone else in your spot the next day.

Try working for an auto shop or a carpet cleaning service, fuck do anything but warehouse work. Personally I say you pick up a trade. The starting pay isn't far off from what you're making now, and as you gain more experience you start to bank. Eventually you can work for yourself. Best of all, there are no women out on the field. You may have to deal with them at the supply shop or something, but you'll never see them actually working.

I used to work in picking in a warehouse in UK too back in the day. I got let go because I wasn't good enough xD At the time I thought I was doing fine, because I was trying my best and attempting to finish in as quick a time as possible. Then I learnt I was just too slow and not good enough, haha. Rude awakening. I thought I was great at computer games, then I played WoW and realised I sucked super hard, and I was actually one of the laziest people on the server.

Find a trades job where you almost exclusively work with men. I've found the best way to stay away from women in the workplace has been choosing a career that women simply cannot perform/ have no interest in. Over 98 percent of pipefitters are male, no bullshit just do your work and be one of the guys, awesome job.

You may need to adjust your mentality. For what it is worth here are some tips from somebody who has never been fired in 25 years:

An employer hires your body to work for him, the more he can get out of you for the least amount, the better for him.
Employers dont want workers with hangups or a sense of injustice. Leave your issues at home. Smile and bend over, when they fuck you, smile and ask for more. That is what they call being a team player.
An employer does not care about right or wrong, but productivity. So by refusing to help the girls, YOU are the problem. YOU are the one creating an issue, YOU are not a team player.

My only advice is to find a job with less sexist/racist managers. Of course their hands are tied to some degree, because if they don't hire a certain number of women/minorities, then they can be shut down. It is mostly institutional racism/sexist that is forced upon them by the gov't and by your neighbors are are pro-racist (against whites) and pro-sexist (against men). It's sad, but just the reality. But you can't give up, although I know it is tempting. It's like being black in the USA in the 1950s...you were discriminated against unfairly, but you just have to keep fighting.

I recommend working slower at your job, so as to leave less time for helping others. I learned the hard way that the faster you work, the more they (the bosses) want to pile on additional work. I burned out on several jobs by pushing myself too hard. Honestly, if it's work at the lower end of the income spectrum, it's better to to get hassled occasionally by your boss than to do extra and not be rewarded for it. Do enough to not get fired. And others have mentioned this: when asked to help, don't be johnny-on-the-spot, eager to help. Rather, politely comply, just not eagerly. And if the task is not your primary job, don't worry too much about doing it quickly.

Little word of encouragement. A coworker of mine is in IT for ~5 years now. He's 30, self educated, and make a very good living. He had a wood worker training and that's it, not even the "baccalaureat" as we have in France if you go to high school. He works at an engineer level now and I would barely tell the difference with another one without knowing.

But I have to tell you, either way you'll have to suck it up in the beginning. It won't happen overnight, so make sure you enter it with a healthy state of mind.

Last little piece of advice : work on your anger. Anger is used to fight depression, so in a sense it's healthy, but you have some inner work to do. I know it because I'm doing it at the moment. You will be happier.

However, unfortunately the attitude is cancer in a corporate setting. You’re better off becoming indispensable and asking for more money, more authority, or leveraging out to another company. Theoretically you’re being watched and judged at every turn how you’re able to handle adversity and more responsibility.

Those clowns you’re working with do not have the same potential that you do. You are better not to ever compare what is being asked of you and what is being asked of your co-workers because you don’t know what is being expected of you versus your co-workers.

Having said that, I know it sucks. Been there done that. I’m in my 50’s but when I was in my early 20’s I was in a situation where I was the seasoned worker at a place that hired a woman to be my boss. I had to train her completely on my job, I had to do my work and a portion of her work while she was my boss. I had to do her job while she was on maternity leave for 3 months only to drop back to being her subordinate when she returned. It was fucking ridiculous. I warmed up the resume and started to look for work elsewhere and actually grateful I held my tongue. Trust me, I know it sucks. Hang in there at the next job because this isn’t the last time this bullshit is going to knock you square in the face. Could be another woman, could be the boss’s son. It’s not fair but smart eyes are watching you and your potential. Best of luck!
