Cryptocurrency is an excellent example of the "sexism" prevalent in society.

You don't need any contacts to invest in it. You don't even need to meet people face to face. The creator is anonymous. Could be a woman. Who knows!

In fact a lot of devs of other cryptos are anonymous too.

There is no "corporate structure" or "glass ceiling" keeping women down. A lot of the people interested are anarchists.

And yet.... even though there are no gender barriers for entry whatsoever..... It is completely dominated by men.

Nothing to do with the fact that it's innovative, creative and highly risky.

It's funny how many male-dominated fields were thought to be closed doors to women but now they have to drag women into them and change standards to get them to stay but a lot of women don't want to do them. There are certainly women who excel in them but they tend to be the exception not the rule and and they didn't ask for different standards.

I work as a software developer and I have been listening stuff like we want to hire more women etc. They are hiring women for the sake of it. Some of them don't know anything and get to the manager level because they can't code. Firing them will reduce the "diversity" so they are promoted instead.

Honestly I have started to think that as a man it might be harder for me to get my next job then a girl. Mind you, you can't say these things publicly. In one town hall a girl asked a male director what we are doing about more women in tech. He answered we want is talent we don't care about gender girls can achieve whatever they want these days. After the townhall people were commenting that he is an asshole etc. I agreed with him but I remained silent because saying those things publicly is a suicide
