The woman was with a 16 year old. I've seen worse for men there as well, but unless the man had the same age I think it's justified she gets less. 16 is age of consent in a lot of countries.

The man apparently had a relationship with a 15 year old. He even called her his wife and was genuinely in love with her and got called mentor etc by fellow students even after it was known.

Nevertheless, he faced 758 years in prison, because how the US justice system works he was probably charged with 100 times of something and obviously guilty. So he took a plea of 20 years with 10 years of supervision and a lifelog ban of anything children.

Seeing this I do think it's unfair but it'd be hard to say whether the man got too much or the woman got not enough.

Edited to add: Can we not do this? This is exactly the type of thing I disagree with in regards to feminism and SJWs in general - claiming vicitimhood when it is not warranted. It is true that men get harsher sentences than women but these are not similar crimes at all and should not be used to illustrate this point. If anything, pointing to this as an example is detrimental to your cause because it implies there is no double standard if you have to use misleading examples to illustrate it.

Makes you wonder how much attraction plays in sentencing. Guy lookin' like a male model might get a lower, but still undoubtedly male in length, sentence. Usually these women aren't exactly heavyweights. I see a lot of faces you'd want to sympathize with.

It's not a double standard. Nature has made men & women different. A man "invades" a woman's body in the sexual act, a woman allows herself to be "invaded"....

There is no such thing as "She f**cked him", even if some women would like to believe in this...So yes, the sentences are correct in my (humble) view...

there may be a difference between the ages. Reading further down, I can see a sexual fling with a 16 year old which is definitely bad form (it's not illegal everywhere, but... ick, cradle robber), but the real crime there was alcohol (and being a cradle robber). If a three-year 'relationship' with a child turns sexual at 15, then that's not only sexual abuse but sexual grooming and means a deliberate predatory behaviour. That year means a lot of difference, those three years means even more of a difference. But to go from 120 days to 20 years? That's just the pussy pass.

It's not the same thing. An older man seducing an underaged girl is manipulation, coersion. An older woman seducing a younger man is " a favor".
