Loser mod from r/abusiverelationships doesnt seem to believe that modern data shows that men are just as likely to have suffered trauma from an abusive relationship as women, and apparently does not think it necessary to give a voice to those thousands of victims.

Sad. Must be a sub devoted to male aggressive abusive relationships. So a female help sub, fine. But dont label yourself as a place for all victims (or gender identity) having a voice. Many such cases. "Were for equality, but not really" "we are accepting of all identities (as long as its female)"

I wont go into how horrific my experience was. I just assume, as a male victim of domestic violence, I must not belong on r/abusiverelationships because im a man who believes in men's rights. Interesting take.

I didn't realize that my marriage was abusive until after I got out of it. My ex would throw stuff at me, hit me push me and one morning I woke up with her choking me. When I told people about it they laughed it off. I can honestly say that we were probably both verbally and emotionally abusive. It was just a super toxic situation. She ended up divorcing me after I caught her cheating.

What did she do afterwards? She told everybody I've abused her. That I was physically abusive to her and people bought her lies. I lost so many friends as a result of those lies. One of my sons has experienced her abuse and it has become normalized for women to be able to physically abuse men.

It's still The narrative that men can't be abused even when they are abused physically.

Abuse is not gender specific. But, women are believed even when there's lies. Men are denied even when there are truths. Sadly, this is our reality.

I'm sorry for anyone that has gone through abuse regardless of gender. This should happen to no one.

I've been auto-banned from several subs, but I've never received any mod messages stating which rules I broke in their subs or which subs they deemed to be problematic.

So it's entirely possible that those auto-bans are a result of my participation in this sub, but who knows......

It was a severely abusive relationship and the lack of any kind of help or acknowledgment that a man can be abused by a woman that pushed me towards men’s rights. I’m not surprised about the ban from abusive relationships sub, it just proves we need men’s rights more than ever if even internet spaces for abuse victim support rejects men.
