“Mansplaining” is basically a straw man and/or ad hominem statement meant to insult and misrepresent a man’s position. There’s nothing wrong with explaining a point to someone. Having to put someone else down by saying they are mansplaining is more of a reflection of the person making that accusation than it is of the person explaining. It says much when you feel the only way to build yourself up is to put someone else down.

I once had a female colleague at work try to pull this card while I was explaining procedure to a couple of rookies in my department. All I was doing was delivering pertinent info that may have been glossed over during their orientation, but is vital info to know that will help them get their footing faster. Here comes the nosey cunt talking about "you don't need to give them so many details, it's all stuff they'll learn as they go." I look at her with a thousand yard stare with an implied "shut the fuck up" look in my face, then turn right back to the rooks and continue with my explanation.

Later in the day I get pulled to the side by one of my execs and he asks me "did something happen between you and "cunt" today?" I go on to tell him how she interjected in my giving additional info to a couple new highers, and how SHE was out of line for trying to pull rank on me. My best guess is she was told unless it was needed for a project, never to interact with me again...cuz she's never said a word to me since, and this was around October 2021 this happened.

Mansplaining is just a popular catch phrase euphemism for "shut up, you're not allowed to talk, because and only because you are a man and I don't understand how that makes me a sexist". It's just a person behaving like a 5 year old yelling shut up shut up shut up!

All of this is in an attempt to create an impossible fascist society. Step 1 on a fascist society is to segregate the population by something unchangeable, black/white, jewish/aryan, roman/not roman, etc. This form is impossible because what they're selling is women/men. That can't work not even for a second. The second I say "Make ME" it falls apart.

So with that I want to do a little parody skit from Shakespeare.

Point out the irony of working to replace gendered nouns (fireman/postman etc) while using the term mansplaining. People who say that are some of the most condescending people ive met anyway.

It's only mansplaining if they already know what you're explaining after acting lay about it and at no point do they communicate they know other than sarcastically at the end.

When women explain things to men and we already know and let them know we know we get told off for already knowing something.

In both scenarios we are accused of making a woman sound/feel stupid, from their perspective. Which isn't the case.

It is not a sign of intelligence to act like you don't know something and then say you do after you've got someone to explain. It's manipulation. If you then insult us and accuse us of mansplaining after its abusive.

I don't remember the exact title but ,. I saw a video once of an Australian MP having to deal with the accusations of mansplaining , it was fun to watch .

Personally i would maintain distance with people who typically use words such "mansplaining" , but to each their own ! Try to find the video and if you are faced with a similar situation again , use the arguments in that video.

Typical escape attack when someone doesn’t have valid points to counter you.

Attack you instead of dissecting the content of your statement for flaws or gaps.

Make it gendered / sexist when it had nothing to do with gender/ sex.

Reminds of my time in school when a classmate was showing a girl how to set up a camera and then she came to me and complained that he was mansplaining how to do it. She had the audacity to asked him for help and then complain about how he helped her. Insane.
