Your sources are far from neutral. Do you really expect objective analysis from the "Center for the Study of Women in Television and Film"?
Not a single number in the lot indicating the willingness of men vs women to be flexible in roles
Not a single number in the lot measuring initiative - that is, male vs female to create startups, etc. Examples: Tom Cruise and Mel Gibson were shunned because of behaviour - and proceeded to relaunch themselves. Famke Janssen insists at 50+ upon wanting to play the same sexpot roles which she played at 30 and even told Russell Crowe to shut up when he commented older men and women should both change roles and stop trying to play young roles.
A certain portion of the film industry involves "action films" in which - despite much trying - females are often not credible. Actresses with pencil-thin arms lifting heavy armaments appear ridiculous. It's not the industry which is "sexist"; it's reality which is "sexist".
Gibson isn't the only example of an individual creating their own opportunities (despite, in Gibson's case, unattractive character). Instead of whining about roles, men go out and create their own roles. They take risks, attempt new things despite the possibility of looking ridiculous ("Grumpy Old Men"). It's the same in most endeavours. Why should film be different?

Im on the left for some things, and on the right for others. I think young people just default into leftist opinions because thats what they believe is “progressive” or that they are “different” to older people, because “we want change” and “we’re moving forward”. All of these ideas is what mainstream media is pushing onto younger people, and it’s hard to default into the other side because who doesn’t want to “progress” and “make change”.

I sure defaulted into a leftism, and defaulted into the opinions of people on the left. I thought it was just so obvious, and couldn’t understand why people on the right could think any differently. Despite never actually doing any research on these topics myself. Like most people, I started to think it’s probably because of some “religious bullshit” or these people are just “unable to adapt to change”. And these ideas are just further fueled by the media. And we’re told not to listen to the right because “they wont listen”.

It was only until I found Ben Shapiro, Jordan Peterson, and others, that I started to question my beliefs and, do my own research, look at the arguments on both sides. I went through that whole phase... and now I believe pretty much everything in politics is blown way out of proportion. No one really cares about shit, as long as it doesn’t directly affect themselves. No one really cares enough about most topics to actually do their own research and find all the arguments for both sides. Both the left and the right are perceived by each other as a loud majority of fucking idiots with extreme views, when its really a loud minority.

Anyway, getting back to your comment. One thing that I wholeheartedly disagree with the left, that I’m just unable to convince myself to accept, is that abortion is somehow supposed to be ethical, and a moral good. No one would hope anyone in their family ever goes through an abortion.

On defaulting...

I'd agree that happens. I think this is an issue with lack of critical thinking skills which is a result of educational inadequacy. Also old fashioned parenting, my mother used to say children are to be seen and not heard. She'd reprimand me for questioning her logic and beliefs. My father wasn't the brightest crayon in the box, so he'd get frustrated when I cornered him in logic or presented evidence that went against his understanding. This is of course anecdotal, but this kind of up brining doesn't lend itself to being a positive influence with regard to independent thought and free thinking. Schools themself also do not do a great job, they tend make appeals to authority an acceptable reason for believing something. Rather than encourage questioning, they teach to a test.

As far as media influence, I don't want to assume, so give me an example of this please.

I have no ethical or moral issues with abortion. Attributing personhood to dividing cells that have neither sentience nor consciousness doesn't make any sense. Should I have a funeral every time I cut my nails, or be tried for murder when I cut myself shaving? Of course not. As far as not hoping anyone in their family has to get an abortion, I would hope no medical procedures are ever needed. Of course we are human and biology doesn't allow for my wish for perfect health and control over ones body to that degree. I hope no one has to get their wisdom teeth removed, get bypass surgery or have cancer treated... In that same thought I hope no one needs an abortion. But medical procedures are meant to help you live your life, an abortion like any other medical procedure does that.

As an example, why does the left give Ilhan Omar a pass? Why did they give Keith Ellison a pass? Countless others, not just politicians, say atrocious things about many groups, in this case, about men, yet nothing happens. Why? The media in the US is controlled by the left. Most social media platforms are controlled by leftists. Major search engines, controlled by leftists. The actual dissemination of information is censored by this agenda. The truth is there if you are open to looking.

What's a pass and a pass on what specifically? The only thing I can think of for Ellison is the assault allegations which a number of people across the philosophical spectrum, including himself, have said should be investigated. Omar, I'm not sure what she did that you're referring to, perhaps the campaign finance violations she's under investigation for? But these are both being investigated, so I am not sure what you're referring to as far as a pass. (Granted neither of them are my reps, so I don't know the details as well as I would someone from my own state.)

Yes, they are for sure. Look at all of the censorship occurring on social media platforms, especially on twitter, and the deplatforming that’s happen to conservatives on YouTube.

Look in other countries, too. European countries are preventing people from speaking out about the atrocities committed by immigrants, particularly those of Islamic belief. Guy in Charlottesville ran his car into a crowd of protestors, killing one ad injuring 19. He was far right and they were far left. Tat's literally taking their humanity away from them and seeing them as subhuman if he was willing to ram his car into them - which I've seen plenty of praise for in far right circles. On the other hand there are no far left-ers ramming cars into crowds, but I'm sure we've all seen the videos of people beating up on skinheads or far right protestors calling them racist. Neither are ok, and neither drive any sort of real discussion between sides. Just animosity.

Funny you mention fake news... as Trump claims he is the one that brought "fake news" into the national lexicon, and repeats it constantly. In fact, the right (9especially Fox) seem to be the only ones labeling news as "fake news" completely unironically.

What laws have had mainstream popularity on the left that target white lower class individuals (aka "rednecks") specifically to take away their freedoms? Being a lower middle class white guy, I haven't seen any actual laws aimed at me. But I have heard Trump talking about removing the freedom of the press - including removing a section from the Department of Justice handbooks (which had not undergone a change in nearly 20 years) a section on the need for free press and public trial" as well as adding "requiring them to disclose any contacts they have with the media." In looking for something similar coming from the left I came across an article from Fox about Democrats making serious attempts to curb religious fredom in the US, including "seeking to remove all Christian and Catholic colleges from the NCAA." Which I find funny because I attend a southern baptist university and despite some horrible stuff that's happened here recently the NCAA hasn't' done a thing and I haven't heard a word about Democrats trying to get rid of us. The only thing about personal freedoms I can think of the the removal of the second amendment. Which, while a stupid idea, doesn't exactly equate to the removal of personal freedoms of lower middle class white people considering guns are owned by every race and every class of society.

Socialism is just the far extreme left essentially. What does this have to do with feminism? Well, the idea of feminism is rooted in creating artificial advantages for women in an effort to equalize them with men. The dealings with the wage gap for instance is a prime example of this. Also, affirmative action.

Women are seen as victims and as disadvantaged so they get an artificial lift, so to speak over men to make them more successful and more powerful.

And you can argue that if men are seen as disadvataged one day, will we get the same treatment? And maybe that is true, but why wait so long for government intervention? And this could take quite a while because of the nature of men to be go getters isnt going away anytime soon.

I don’t disagree with the definition. As we have gendered terms to use in gender specific instances, actress would be more accurate than actor. Even though actor can be used gender neutrally.

It’s a difference of opinion on semantics.

If men and women are different, then there will be aspects and traits that are characteristic to each group. Men will have masculine traits (by and large) and women will have feminine traits (by and large). It's really that simple. If you believe that "men" is a real category and "women" is a real category, then you believe that people can either be masculine or feminine.
