Those of you on the "looks matter the most for women" side, What is the must frustrating aspect of dating / what is your greatest fear.

Mine has ALWAYS been that even after looksmaxxing (to a reasonable degree, barring extreme measures like significant plastic surgery), that I will continue to fail the "minimum looks threshold" level required to attract a women whom I am also attracted to enough to have a physical relationship with, and said women would also have similar high level traits as me physically (so im not being unreasonable)

I'm trying to deal with this now. I've put so much effort into looksmaxxing - posture maxxing, skin maxxing, hair maxxing, am 185 lbs muscular 10% bodyfat, dress maxing (literally buying perfectly fitted tailored clothes to my body shape) - and it's not really moving the needle. I was a 5 before and now I'm maybe a 5.5 (rated on true rate me).

basically, it didnt work for me.

right now my next step is just finding that women that I can connect with and likes my "look" and is more focused on personality/confidence - but it's been incredibly difficult since I am attracted to athletic women (since I'm very athletic myself). the issue is that these women are typically attracted to the jocky, tall, good looking guys. I don't think this is unreasonable given what I have. but the standards are so damn high out there. it just takes one 6 foot tall white guy in a baseball cap to distract away the girl I like from me.

nothing sucks more than finding a girl that enjoys your same interests, hits the gym/plays sports, where you also connect with, but she doesn't find you physically attractive enough to date. it fucking sucks.

But I'll just keep trying and trying. the calming thing is that at least I know if I failed that I literally tried everything. that's peaceful in itself.

I know there’s a difference between cold and warm approach, but like I don’t see how it really matters in the bigger picture. Regardless you(as the man 90% of the time) have to approach first and initiate the convo, you have to be the one to ask her on a date, etc etc. so what does it matter if it’s cold approach( not knowing her at all) and warm approach( you probably have a mutual friend in common or something)

On why women seemingly can’t find good men:

For me it’s “I can’t find a good guy that I am willing to risk my life and body for”.

There so many good men, but personally I haven’t met one who I felt good enough about to want to take forever risks with him. Like I’m dating for marriage, so always in my mind I am considering how a guy I’m seeing would react to me getting pregnant, losing my health, not being fit or being mentally disabled.

Even outside of that - for my own flaws that I know I am working to change, I look at how he’s interacting with me presently. Consider if it’s something he’s merely putting up with for now or something we can work through. Same for him: he might have some flaws that I see are integral to his personality: can I live with them or can I only put up with them for a little while.

Then there are the small things that, individually, aren’t as important but when they are compounded they become important. Says he’s habitually 10-15 minutes late. Or he’s sometimes forgetful. Separately those things can be dealt with. Together they can be super annoying and not workable.

A good man doesn’t just mean he’s nice, nice to be around and nice to look at. There are so many other qualities that matter that make actual compatibility.
