For context: I am 6'4" 200lb Anglo-Saxon cis male; 40 years old; beautiful cooperative wife (who is a full time home-maker); 2 beautiful children; 6-figure salary and have considerable respect and network within my industry. Maybe another important point: I am a true blue northeastern US urban liberal living in the rural American west (which is primarily conservative).

I must say that I have a difficult time really understanding many of the issues brought up by the men who post in this sub and wondering if I am just clueless or come from a place of extreme privilege. I view many of the complaints about height or salary as men simply excusing their inaction against their low-value status. When I use words like low-value and high-value, it is in the school of people like Kevin Samuels (I agree with most of what he says - other "alpha-male" YouTubers... not so much; Kevin had a unique intelligence and class about his understanding of sex and relationships). The men seem whiny and boyish in their hopelessness and disdain; acting like they are powerless and the world is moving against them specifically. As men, we are creatures of action and discovery. If you are weak, and are not compelled to become strong, that is YOUR fault. I feel like so many of the posts here by men are simply men now owning their own deficits and looking for the world to apologize to them; it's pathetic. Cis women are attracted to masculinity, in my experience, and self-awareness and eagerness to take responsibility are masculine virtues (as well as kindness, compassion, strength, but that isn't necessarily relevant to my point here). I'll never know what it is like to be short and ugly, but when I was in the military, I had short, ugly friends who never seemed to struggle with women. ... I just don't get it. I think it has something to do with the idea that being in the military teaches you how to bond with people and express yourself through both your strengths and vulnerabilities. Your partner needs to know who you are in order to be an effective team member. Cooperation is the center of gravity for any relationship and I think a lot of men are missing that part for whatever reason that I am too dull to figure out. Shortness and ugliness are things which can be overcome by other masculine virtues on the spectrum, but I feel like a lot of "red-pilled" (lol!) men think that this is like some kind of math problem: if you don't have x, y, and z, you can never get the outcome of n. This is obviously not how humans work and it is excruciating to read about. If a woman rejects you because of your jawline or height, she isn't worth engaging with in the first place; why would you even want such a petty individual? Why are "red-pilled" men obsessing over the standards of worthless and petty women anyway and just moving on to cooperative and compassionate women (which, in my experience, is the default)? Am I completely off-base here? What am I missing?
