How has PPD changed your views?

During purge week I saw a post that asserted that people that post CMV OPs never change their views. The responses brought up some good points:

• Lurkers can be influenced by the CMVs, but they don’t usually post so we don’t know exactly how often this happens.
• The CMV OP usually doesn’t change on his main point but many times he will change his view on minor subpoints.

My question for you is: How has PPD changed your views? This is a general question and is not limited just to CMV OPs.

Personally, looking back at my posts I have 2 examples of minor point flips on my CMV OPs:

• In a CMV where I was promoting a “Red Pill Lite” approach my view changed from the anger and misogyny could be completed eliminated to it is necessary to some extent due to how people process grief.
• In a CMV where I advocated for a government sponsored SMP coaching program I changed my view to still thinking coaching is a good idea but a non-profit implementation would be better than my original proposal.

In general, PPD gave me more empathy for struggles of other people. I used to seek out “where have all the good men gone” stories so I could see women getting their comeuppance, which would make me feel better about myself. PPD made me realize that behavior was irrational and unproductive.

PPD also caused me to see things from different perspectives that I hadn’t considered even if those perspectives didn’t change my core positions.
