For the purpose of this thought experiment, we'll suppose a hypothetical/fictive society where the following parameters to be valid for everyone:

  • one can only have sex or relationship with a person after agreeing to grant that person access to the information about oneself
  • the information is true (with 100% certainty)
  • nobody else (other than the person you granted access to it) has access to the information
  • access to the information can be revoked, but then that ends any form of partnership with the other person (i.e. to resume, you have to grant access to the information again)

"the information" stands for the following summarized/log information about a person's sexual and relationship past:

  • number of relationship and of sexual partners and for each of them:
  • the timespan over which the partnership lasted (e.g. 3 years or 1 night or whatever)
  • the gender and approximate age of the partner(s), but not their names/identities
  • the types and the time/frequency distribution of sexual activities
  • the information does NOT contain any recordings/media (pictures, sound, video)

And just to prevent any total derailing like strawmanning, squabbling over secondary details or off-topic shit:

  • No, this isn't advocating for such a system to be implemented (that would likely be at best impossible to implement and/or totalitarian at worst) but just a "what if" thought experiment
  • how it would work is totally irrelevant to the question: it's a fictional situation, so there's no point in squabbling about the (im)possibility or (im)plausibility of implementational details. For the purpose of the question, you can just as well assume it's magic.

Please keep the discussion focused on the core topic, which is the question how having actual KNOWLEDGE about (potential) partners' past would (hypothetically, if it was accessible) have a changing impact on the SMP/RMP and society.
