Everyone seems to have a different example of what a hook up means so i'll specify that a hook up to me is the same as a fuck buddy.

The amount of women who will be down to have sex on the first date without a condom is insane to me. They'd have you think it's the men who are insisting not to use a condom but that's not the truth at all. Due to this I ALWAYS use a condom because you never know who else they're sleeping with.
I pull out even when using a condom

Plan B if needed
Nonvaginal sex

It’s always assumed condoms unless you’re a continuous FWB. You learn if people have birth control, IUD, etc because you ACTUALLY TALK TO THEM AS THEY ARE A HUMAN BEING AS WELL WHO ALSO WANTS TO HAVE FUN. this happens before, during, in the middle of session, after.

These days I either wear a condom or pull out. Back in my misspent youth, I just did whatever. Eventually after some pregnancy scares and miscarriages and an abortion (all different people), I did get an oops baby.

IME it's tough. In the moment I can count on two hands the number of times the woman insisted on using protection/brought it up. I'm sure a chorus of 'ya cause they're all whores' will rise, but that isn't the case.

Guys who can get casual sex typically are the ones who have the option to use birth control (unless the girl is on bc which a significant % are).
