It's all about learning to channel the energy in the right way at the right time. Being intense certainly isn't bad in itself, but there is a particular "neurotypical" or "charismatic" way to express your enthusiasm. I've never cared much about that, and that's my burden.

It’s going to be too much for some women and a positive thing for others.

I have ADHD myself and I know it’s too much for some extremely introverted guys. I consider myself an ambivert because I like being social, but I also need my downtime to recharge.

I’ve definitely met some guys that were just way too much like all the time and it was exhausting. But, I also don’t want someone who’s quiet and boring and serious all the time.

I think women are drawn to confidence, goofy or not. But more than that, we want connection (probably same for men). If your hyperactive personality means that you aren't paying close attention, and maybe not making the other person feel that you are interested in them or really "seeing" them... that will be a turn off. The emotional connection, and seeing your partner as someone who can relax and connect with people, in general, really matters a lot.

Depends on the intensity, recipient and context.

Some people want their partner to be more serious, some - goofy, others - lighthearted, but serious when the situation is serious.

For me a person who is always hyperactive is exhausting.

It depends on what you mean by hyperactive and excitable. Some people who say they're hyperactive don't know how to read a room, ignore other's feelings, etc. However, if you're really just hyperactive/silly/goofy, that's not unattractive at all. I enjoy partners like that. Mine has ADHD and is fairly hyperactive and I think it's really cute

Depends on whether it can be turned off when the time/place calls for it.

I'm hyperactive, easily excited, and goofy as well. But I'm not that way 24/7, I can have serious conversations, I can sit down during special/important events, I can be serious when the time calls for it and I don't need anyone to "ask" me to behave appropriately when necessary.

A guy who acts like methhead bouncing off the walls who can never shut the fuck up and/or sit down would drive me insane. I've noticed that men like this also tend to have that "man child" element to them, where they're not responsible, barely take car of themselves, and their financial lives are often in shambles because of their impulsive spending/buying.

In other words, there's a difference between someone who is simply eccentric and quirky vs someone clearly being manic and/or mentally ill. One personality is charming, the other one is concerning.

Here is my take…. First I want to clarify something for you…. If you are within a metropolitan area, the female hypergamy dating style is out of control for a significant percentage of them it has completely broken the system…. “Not all women are like that” but enough are that getting “shot down” by women who realistically need to get over themselves and realize a guy like yourself is a catch their standards are starting to jam up the machine. It’s not your fault for feeling like this extra tough…

That being said…. A man who has clarity and focus in his mission (have your life organized, career path focused, make sure/keep your character strong) who is “high energy” has the strength to follow through and enact it. That can be a viewed as a positive no need to worry about the negative.

If women find you attractive/interesting…. Nothing can scare them off. They are in it for the feelings and the excitement in fact. Read these message boards all these girls complain about dating dudes that beat them up you think you being a little bonkers is gonna drive them off? They live for that excitement

These traits are personally unattractive to me. I would be worried that you’ll be unreliable especially when it comes to fidelity. “Hyperactive and excitable around people” sounds like it would lead to “sorry babe I just got caught up in the moment and kissed her.”

Then again, I’ve spent my entire life around hyperactive and excitable people (my mom, my husband) and so I’m biased. Both of the people I listed have done incredibly stupid, impulsive things that damaged our relationship because they don’t think before they act or speak.

It depends really. You can be all those things and it be okay but in some settings and situations it’s inappropriate. So where you are, the situation you’re in and who you around is going to effect whether being all those things is attractive or unattractive.

Also are you being all those things in a funny way or an annoying way. Is it coming across as you being a bit goofy or offensive.

I know that’s not really answering the question but it really does depend
