I dont like the "women have a right to treat all men like potential rapists because men are stronger than them/most offenders are men" double standard and others like it. I dont like that slurs like "manspreading" and "mansplaining" and "man flu" are acceptable but not the reverse.

Good one. I have to roll my eyes at these dudes who think that because they continue to provide "resources," they're still holding up their end of the bargain. It's telling that they have to go behind their wives' backs to sleep around. Surely if the bargain is what they claim it is, everything could be in the open.

Similarly, it is possible for a woman to want other men but still be attracted to her husband and stay with him. In their experiences, their wives were not attracted to them and also cheated; but that doesn't meant that the one is a necessary condition for the other. Women like attractive men, but they don't only like one attractive man at a time. Therefore, people in both sexes can cheat while intending to stay with their partner, so the reason behind the double standard goes away.

You could flip it any way you want if you're determined. Like I could say men who cheat are worse for still wanting to retain their current relationship, implicitly expecting their SO will tolerate it. It's not just that. Thinking of others vs thinking of oneself. There is no biological reason women would need to be more selfless than men except with regards to rearing children. She is valued for it, but she is trapped in a boring job without room to advance. If she quits to be a stay at home Mom, her family will suffer. If she works longer hours and goes to school part time while working or tries to pursue another career, both her and her family will suffer.

I'm still missing the double standard. It actually sounds pretty equal at this point. Her husband makes more or works longer, she works and takes care of things at home. This sounds about as equal as it gets.

Meanwhile if a woman does it, she is considered hitting the wall.

Women have more relationship opportunities when they're younger. That's just biology. Men have relationship opportunities for longer. That's just what women want. Women want families, so they have to make compromises. It's not a double standard, if it's based on biological differences, is it?

What? Men routinely look for women dumber than them and are pretty/in shape. Kind of a low bar.

Men don’t love you for you.

I used to do this. I don't now that I realized I was lied to about women my whole life.

They love you for what you have to offer. Money, housework, and looks.

Hate to break it to you, but the number of men who look for women with money is so close to zero it's not even worth mentioning. I don't give a fuck about women with money, and I'm speaking for most men.

I'm not sure where you get this idea about housework. Housework is something I would be doing whether my gf is home or not. If she was lazy and did nothing, I would say something, and if she still didn't do anything, then I would only pick up after myself. It's not complicated and I'm not cracking a whip over women at home. Unless you're not living in the industrialized west, I think you're being delusional.

lol, flex just means the same hours at different times; it's just nice to have that freedom - don't act like that's some huge privilege.

So, he works 9 hour days? So he earned that 3 day weekend? In other words, he works a federal job and you think that this is somehow a male privilege? It just sounds like his leadership is cool and he has a desk job. Women are afforded this all the same.

Women have flooded the labor market because men have required them to flood the market.

Only if she knew what she was getting into. These days, women have no fucking idea what they want, or their brains are so full of feminist garbage and cosmo myths that they're not tolerable on any front, let alone being fed and sheltered just so they can chase their dreams of having a family.

Women are the most protected and privileged class that has ever roamed this Earth, and yet here we are listening to one still complaining it's not enough!

This is patently false. My ex wife stopped taking birth control so she could get pregnant, and when she wanted out of our marriage, she stopped short only of telling the authorities that I had murdered her.

Women are as bad as men can be.

We want a man who has a good job and can either support a family or contribute meaningfully to a family.

Only when it suits them. As soon as something better is within her reach, she will swing to the next branch.

We don’t say “money doesn’t matter”! When it does. A lot. And we get called gold diggers and shamed for saying it out loud.

I've never heard a woman tell me that money matters. I have, however, had a woman steal money and possessions from me, and I have watched her lie in court about her assets in order to get more from me. Women don't say "money matters", they act like it.

First of all, I don't know anyone who has been shamed for holding off on having kids. As that relates to the CC or the impending wall, those are two separate ideas. The CC is the single polyamorous woman who refuses to settle down, no matter how good her options are. The wall is when those options begin to dwindle due to her age and value dropping over time and she becomes aware of it.

I've never heard of a woman being called a gold digger when she keeps a home and has a part time job. To me that arrangement looks very traditional and the man and woman are getting what they want from the relationship. However, modern-day gold diggers are the SAHMs minus the kids, or the single moms who will settle for nothing less than a 6 figure earning man with no kids.

I'm just not sure all of your examples are popular. I will agree women tend to go for the path of least resistance, and won't work if they don't have to. One relationship question recently by a woman dating a pro athlete where bills were split got a torrent of irl and online pressure to get her millionaire bf to pay for everything and make sure she didn't have to work, even though she was making over $60k. The reality is that women are not "expected to work", they're "encouraged to be lazy" in my experience, and from what I've seen, heard, and read.

I don't judge a woman for "waiting to have a family", my current girlfriend is waiting until she has a good enough job so she can support a family.

I would not split rent 50/50

I would want to become a SAHM and Work part time but the dynamics are very different when a guy makes so much money. A whole power dynamic takes place. It’s not just a mid 6 figure salary. It’s a lot.

Why should he pay for your dreams? He can have a woman who makes as much as he does so he doesn't have to support some chick who wants to stay at home all day with the kids; he can get a woman who makes more so they can split things evenly.
