I think this is more in issue with both sides being too introverted to propersly ask each other out. The men who like introverted girls are often pretty introverted themselves which is a bad combination when it comes to dating.

I once had a really cute, nice gf who gave great head that I simply couldn't have much of a conversation with. I didn't want to be an asshole but in hindsight she was a basic bitch. No real opinions or hobbies, or ambitions.

She just really didn't have much to say. It was good on paper but I lose interest after not very long.

The cold reality is that modern western people seek attraction first, then compatibility, character etc and since attraction is much harder to come by many people make odd choices.

Did they turn you down or were they too shy to do anything about it? If you try to hint at liking them, and they just keep speaking to you as your friend and nothing more, I think its usually because they aren't seeing the hints at all.

Because unless they made it clear they weren't interested, then you are interpreting "no data" as "rejection" and "clearly communicated attraction" as "attraction," which would quite sensibly push you out of the nerd sphere. This is a much more basic reason why confident people get laid more often.

Edit: and to answer the question: no. I'm not even so sure they are the best to have sex with. Nerds have better sex. I prefer girls who are like me, and they are kind of like you, and they are very hard to find.

Basic at home, hot outside. I spend 4-5 hours at the gym every week. Nice clothes are expensive, haircuts are $40/month. Grooming, shaving everyday, eating right. All things anyone doing okay in the dating game is doing.

The reason you are meeting people that ask you to accept them as they are is that you aren't attractive. Or you have bad game. The attractive of either sex takes a lot of work.

As a teen I chased the nerdy girls and they chased the jocks. I never found the cheerleaders or prom queens to be particularly interesting. I made a move on a nice ethnic girl and she said "my parents would not approve".

Considering you're female, I'm going to assume you're massively overvaluing your looks. I've never heard of nerdy guys not liking average girls. It's been said before, but most guys date down, or at least have no problem doing so. Of course this is anecdotal, but in my high school I knew a few nerdy guys and they had an attraction to "basic" women(basic meaning that they were not hot by any standards).

I think the problem isn't that you're basic, but that you're probably ugly. Being unhealthy or considerably out of shape doesn't help either. If not even nerdy guys like you, then you're really doing something wrong. Especially considering women have access to makeup and can change their appearance considerably.

I read a lot of complaints from guys about how women are vapid, have "dumb" hobbies such as make up, fashion etc. But it seems to me that the fun loving, appearance obsessed party girls are most sought after.

This is pretty telling. The guys that are actively going after "party girls" are chads(what kind of "nerdy guy" parties?). You're a "basic bitch". You said it yourself. You don't deserve Chad.

Women: it's hard to be attractive. Look at all the effort I have to put in to look good. I can't stuff my face, I spend hours on hair and makeup, and my body is just awkward. I also have to act a bit dumber than usual to get a man to be interested.

Men: it's hard to be attractive. I am invisible to most women and I have to meet some basic minimum even to be considered. I have to hit the gym at least 3 days a week, lift heavy weights, earn more money at work, be socially capable and be tall. Having my own car and a house is a bonus.

Ladies, men would kill to be in your position. If all they have to do is sit there and look pretty to get her to come over and talk, they would not be complaining that it is hard to put on some spanx. Be glad men don't measure your SMV in the same way you do, or else the human race would vanish in a generation or two.

You don't say anything wanting the nerdy guys, did you want them or did you want to be wanted by them? Did you ever take the initiative and ask out any of these nerdy guys? Or did you sit around waiting for them to ask you out? The dreaded party girls knock back a few drinks then go after what they want, either directly or by making it blatantly obvious that they're interested, no subtlety, no confusion. As an introvert, are you maybe giving the impression you want these guys to f-off and leave you alone? Because party girls are for the most part approachable, they're usually smiling, usually direct about what they want and aren't conniving. Over time, guys come to appreciate these traits as they meet more and more women who pretend to be what they want.
