The truth is that there is little reason for masculinity to exist in modern, technologically advanced societies. Soon it will become even worse: machines will fight in wars, machines will take over blue collar jobs. Automation will be the end of masculinity. Only innovation will remain masculine but this will affect only a tiny proportion of the male population since most men are not innovators or inventors. Sooner or later even innovation will be done mostly by AI.

Masculinity is increasingly becoming a huge liability for society, which is why it's discouraged. A feminine society will be more peaceful and less violent.
