I’ve been reading some deep pill forums. The things men say there are a lot worse than what they say here: but it follows the same vein and goal.

Men want what other men have. It’s not about women being entitled, it’s about men wanting something because he doesn’t have it and it’s been denied to him.

At least on the surface:

Really I think people here are hurting; men and women alike. As a woman it scares me that so many men (even if it is a small percentage) claim they’d be happier if I didn’t have rights or freedoms.

When I try to understand the man’s viewpoint, I get stuck at this clog of being rejected over and over again, or being mocked, made fun of or compared to men that might be better. I feel for men because the mental health issue needs to be addressed and they don’t feel safe enough to go address it. I’m sorry that you’re lonely.

I do think that some women understand what you’re going through though. Being a girl is full of flat out horrible situations for some people. I was absolutely tortured from 4th-10th grade by my peers. Made fun of relentlesslyI had an allergy to those ramen cup noodles, something in the seasoning, and a guy came up to me one day and said that he was going to put it in my food so that I would die. I was so scared I couldn’t eat at school for weeks.

I had my possessions stolen, my work taken. The girls would follow me around if I was listening to music just so they could make comment about my music taste… I once got a new pair of shoes and this girl complained that I was walking in the hallway looking happy to all her friends so they took my shoes during gym class.

And that was all in one year. When I tell you I was tortured I mean i look back in awe and wonder how I survived that. Every single day I would come home and be miserable, but I had online friends and books and it made it bearable . So when men here complain about how women always have it easy, I do think about how as a young girl I had literally no one in my corner.

It’s not easy for anyone to be alone, we aren’t supposed to be anti-social. And everyone wants someone special. I think we need to be introspective and see where the anger is coming from.

I just read it in work when I'm bored. Most of the stuff here is nothing new that TRP hasn't already discussed to death. I also don't believe a good portion of stuff posted here. You have threads like "I'm 6 ft, 6 figures, 6 pack and still can't get laid women suck!!!" and it just feels disingenuous.

I'm sure women have the same experience but, quite honestly, it's rather frustrating to see how the women behave.

I'd say the women on this sub are, if anything, a lot more open minded than other women and yet they too have a sense of entitlement where they believe men should only have those standards, that they deem appropriate. They wish to dictate what men are allowed to think, feel and want. They love having their standards but are mad that men's standards don't align with what they want.

Ultimately men and women want different things, they're competing forces and while men will have to adjust in some areas, so will women. Many modern women are too entitled to make any adjustments so they'd rather try and force their viewpoints on men. Average women that don't really bring anything to the table besides their education and their mediocre jobs want and demand more from average men even though they bring a lot less to the table.

We point out the basic fact that nothing in the human race has changed except women no longer have to physically depend on a man to survive (at least in the west) and if women don’t want you then you are simply not good enough.

Honestly I think it's just modern society and the internet providing easy access low consequence form of communicating. Wait... communicating isn't the right word, that implies it's a back and forth conversation where the parties try to understand each other. IMO our society has lost the art of debating and understanding other people's struggles when it conflicts directly with our own struggles.

I've wasted too much of my life arguing on social media trying to get people to see my point of view. Only once did I have a person actually change their opinion based on what I said. People go to these platforms to get stuff off their chest and process their own thoughts, not to challenge their idea of the world. Conformation biased is a larger thing now as no matter your opinion you are bound to find some online group who shares the same thoughts. Whilst before the internet you had to get over it yourself and rejoin the social norm.

Yep both sides to modern heterosexual dating have frustrations. And the extremists are terrible. It's human nature to categories and group people together, then we judge these groups by the words of the extremists.

I, as a 29F, classify myself as "red pill". I believe the genders biologically and sociologically look for different traits in romantic partners. I've seen IRL the things red pill "incels" complain about. Even still my eye twitches that there are a minority of loud men on the internet spreading utter filth about how all women should be treated. And I'll continue to occasionally put my two cents in just to help drown out extremists

It was always gonna be this way, I just use this sub when I'm bored at work. I occasionally see good information being passed around for men( work out, build a social circle, creating multiple streams of income, travel overseas at least once a year, decenter women from your life).

Honestly I think the issue is where we are as a society. I think one thing wider society has accepted is that its no longer acceptable to be a mediocre man. Average men get nothing and that's okay. I think where 10-15 years ago "seduction" and "pua" used to be all the rage...many of the men who would have been enticed by those communities have resigned to the fact that they can't attract the opposite sex...I saw this in real time with the rise of the incel movement at about 2013.

However, what's good for the goose is also food for the gander and I would say women are roughly about where men are in 2006. Like men back then used to rationalise with ideas of "pick up" a lot of women seem to be in this weird quagmire where they somehow deem themselves worthy of a small percentage of men. When many of these women inevitably can't get these men they paint a false narrative of never wanting it in the first place. I see this in the rise in antinatalism and "happily single" women. You saw a similar phenomena in the black community in America about 20-30 years ago (If I was to give a timeline, I feel you had a pushback from black women which began in the late 80s and 90s. This was followed by the emergence of hip hop and its shift towards increasingly violent and misogynistic lyrics. More recently there has been another cultural pushback from black women in the form of online "divestment" movements. The rise of online "black manosphere" types like Kevin Samuels being the most recent salvo in this "gender war").

I can't blame women though, mainstream media certainly hasn't been helping stave off the delusion. There are many studies that also seemingly purport how wonderfully amazing single, childless women have it...they live longer and apparently have more wealth than their single male and married counterparts. I feel this is done as a means to keep the wheel turning. We've just 500k+ people just fall out of the labour force post covid and huge swathes of men who've just given up. Many mothers of young children have also opted to leave the labour market to raise children...the last thing you need is young women doing the same thing young men are doing. However, when you look past the surface, there are a number of worrying indicators.

Things aren't actually looking that good and I feel that a lot of reddit hasn't actually caught up to the fact that for all it makes fun of "lowly" men, women aren't doing all that well either. You cannot castigate one gender and expect the other to thrive. I don't forsee the blowback for a few years yet but I see the gradual shift happening in real time. Political positions are hurtling rightwards and despite right wing/republican governments in both the UK, US and Europe being damn near completely incompetent, they're still amassing millions of votes. Take America, Biden has been securing a number of political wins in recent months whilst the republican party still looks to be beholden to Trump...a guy who hasn't been in office for two years and severely lacking in viable candidates who aren't conspiracy theorist fruitcakes or whackos...and yet the midterms are still pretty much a toss up. The wider mood in many western nations has shifted dramatically, sites like Reddit simply haven't caught up.

Women may think they have it good, or that they have some kind of ideological high ground compared to average men. But they really don't and I feel the next few years is going to show that...it's just that mainstream media has been giving many from the reality of their situation.
