In this video, they discuss what happened when asking about the Experience Machine. They found that very few would let themselves be plugged into the machine. However, if they learned that they had been plugged into the machine then they wouldn't want to be unplugged. In general, people just want to continue living the life that they're living or that they think they're living.

From the point of view of many TRPers who are asked this question, being a woman has many relevant similarities to the experience machine. You get to feel like you're accomplishing things, being respected, having meaningful relationships, and so on even without actually doing anything. However, it also has one more relevant similarity which is that it's not the life you're currently living. I won't say what creates this fact but only that it is a fact that people tend to want to continue their lives as they believe they are living them.

From this, it's impossible to conclude that TRPers are full of shit about their beliefs on how women live, solely on the basis that they would not switch to be one. There are just other considerations at play informing their answer to the question of whether or not they'd prefer to be a woman.
