I've read a few of those things but when you can't make it 3 sentences in without rolling your eyes at the vitriol towards "all women", how far can you expect me to continue ? I look at Rollo's blog and find myself throwing up in my own mouth after the first two paragraphs, it's not really something that's MEANT for me, or meant for men who would want to BE with me. One or two things could be interesting, but youd need to wade through all the shit to get there, and it's just not worth my time to read all of the shit for the nugget of gold in the shit pile.

When I started reading TRP 3 years ago, yes, I read the sidebar material. I'm not sure if there was more within the past 2 years, but ive only seen the quality degrade since I started looking at TRP. I honestly don't remember exactly how much I read, and you know these guys use 10,000 words to describe what could be done in 1,000, just blathering on and added fluff for the sake of fluff. I honestly don't see how you guys have the patience to read it.

But I'll tell you what rings a bell, athol Kay, heartsie, illitable, Rollo, and the rational male. If it was sidebar material 3 years ago I read it, maybe I skimmed past the boring parts, but I tried scrolling to the end to at least get a full picture.

And yeah it all is well and good that I spent time reading it to understand red pill perspective and how its so cringy at times , i really can't understand how they assert some of the things they do, like how women cannot be loyal, women cannot love you, women will never be as rational as a man, women shouldn't vote... This is not the type of material that makes happy marriages. I don't see how a man could be in a happy relationship with a being he despises, except for the fact that she has a hole he can stick it in

I want to read NMMNG. I heard good stuff about it. But besides what I mentioned, I mean, you can't argue that this stuff isn't women hating. They can't give advice to men without stroking a man's ego about how he's the more rational, more honorable, more hard working, more loving sex. If I was a man and I read this stuff, I would never want to be with a woman.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like I was targeting you specifically.

Maybe there are some fundamental differences between men and women that are substantial enough to build a philosophy around, but IMO RP hasn't discovered them yet. 80/20, AF/BB, riding the CC, loving for who you are vs what you can provide - I don't feel these things are accurate representations of the real world, so while TRP is free to teach them, I have to disagree with them.

80/20 is descriptive. AF/BB is descriptive. Riding the CC is descriptive. Loving what your provide not who you are is descriptive. Those descriptive things are derived from different principles.

Understand the principles and the rest falls into place. Like what masculinity and femininity are, AWALT mechanics, power dynamics driving people and the world, etc.

I am very sorry that happened to you. I agree that equal actions to protect both genders need to be out there. I know AOC varies by country, but in the US you can't have sex with anyone under 18 if you are over 18 in any state. Some states have exceptions if you are within 3 years. Of course, any depiction of a child naked is child porn.

I know feminists really pushed to change the definition of rape in the US so that it didn't involve "penetration". This made it so that men could also be raped even when they were not penetrated. However, it continues to get a lot of pushback because people don't like to expand on the definition of rape. They only want to recognize man-rapes-woman-at-gunpoint-in-back-alley type of rape. But of course, rape doesn't have to involve penetration, because men can be raped by women without being penetrated.

A. Talk shit about them, flex at her, and play some dread-game.

A. Do not cave and tell her how lucky she is to have you. Then bounce to the gym with the boys.

It's a list of actions to specific events. Frankly, trying to follow that sounds exhausting, even if you've practiced it forever. Plus, it only works on certain people and only gets you a small, predictable number of results.

On the other hand, developing your character is the opposite approach, and not something that is easily described in a reddit response.

I don't agree with everything written in this book, but it's a pretty good introduction to how I view the world and how to actually succeed in it.

Essentially, you don't try to predict situations and then practice your pre-planned responses to them (for one, how do you respond to an unpredictable situation??), instead, you focus on yourself, develop your core beliefs and your competencies.

It's the long game, and isn't easy and doesn't promise to fix all of your problems overnight. And that's the best indicator that it's good advice, and not a get-rich-quick scheme.

I'm still not sure to what you're referring when you said deep problems, but it sounds like you have a problem with the Q&A on askTRP. I've seen a lot of good advice to simple questions on it, but it's rare to see a good question.

It sounds like you're saying TRP is supposed to be a self-help book to life, but it's just about attraction and what related topics that entails.

I think TRP is much like what you say your book did; it gives you a toolbox from which you can attain success in relationships on your own terms.

Now, character development, granted, is different and it applies to every situation, rather than specific ones. Yet, it may not give you what you're trying to get. You're only going to get so far in certain organizations with a strong character foundations. Sales is a good example where you might not have a great product, and compromises with that integrity are the only way you're going to have success. Now, if you choose to measure success outside of your career - that your actions dictate your success in life, then great. Float to the middle of life and ride it out so you can look back and not regret, but maybe wonder "what if"?

It's designed to weed out people who aren't willing to desire the facts and ultimately the truth about attraction. One of the only ways to do that is to vilify the opposite sex in order to frame the mindset necessary then to undo the social conditioning we've come to call normal. There are lots of facts that can be derived from TRP. Mostly, it's the fact that so many anecdotes and personal experiences/observations fit within the worldview you're saying is so extreme it requires science. The few times I make it onto the IRC to shoot the breeze, BPs and PPs will straight up say "no one here thinks TRP doesn't work; we know it works", so I don't think it's a strong position to take as an absolute skeptic to the point of denial - you would not find yourself in good company. Comparing it to an English book is certainly a false equivalence.

It worked on my current gf, and she knows what TRP is, now. She makes comments sometimes that make me uncomfortable. Especially during romantic character developments in movies. She ripped that Exodus movie apart during the romantic scenes.

It's hard to "get back in touch" with the lies society perpetuates would take all of the random reinforcements I witness daily. It makes my stomach turn sometimes.

I don't expect someone without serious life experiences to take anyone's word for it. It really does take a massively open mind, or a tortured past to see that this is a true/valid perspective.

Edit: this is a genuine question. The only literature I've seen linked in the sidebar is TRP 101, other wiki posts, and blog posts. My favorite is "Women, the oldest teenager in the house." That one is particularly egregious.

Other than that, maybe starting strength and other lifting resources? I haven't seen any substantive self-help books that aren't directly related to TRP/PUA/MGTOW ideology or weight lifting. So I'm being serious when I ask what other books are included.

That book is a perfect example of what's wrong with TRP, to be honest. I've read it, and it's basically a book on how to manipulate people, and not even very well. It's essentially how to trick, confuse or intimidate others to get them to do what you want, and is a perfect analogy for how TRP isn't a very good approach to life.

A better book (though imperfect) is The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, which takes the exact opposite approach to life. Like I said, it's not perfect and doesn't cover everything, but the approach is sustainable.

It is very much an ideology, and remarkably consistent across all topics that it covers: cut corners, pretend to be what you want to be (instead of actually being it), and that simple tricks very every situation are all you need.

For instance, do the god of sex books approach love, intimacy, or how to have emotionally fulfilling sex that pleases both partners? Or are they all about technique and doing the nasty? If the latter, then it ignores the parts of sex that are important to sustain relationships. Sure, they'll work great for hookups, but they won't be enough when you reach the next level of intimacy (which is something TRP seems to be confused about; whether relationships should be attempted at all).

I don't know the other books, so I googled them. I didn't expect to find criticism, to be honest, but it was in the first link and mirrors what I've said of the other books.

Nah, not at all. I gained a few things from rp, lots of my beliefs came from other philosophers and reading prior. It just happens to line up with my worldview quite well so it naturally appeals to me.

However, if you are refusing advice that could fix those problems and continue complaining about the same problem, then I have lost all respect for you. This is why I dislike Incels. No I would not let TRP be taught to children who live in a town that I am in control of. The non-toxic parts/self-improvement parts aren't unique to it and can be taught regardless. If a person believes in it though, then that it their choice, not mine. They can believe in it if they want. We'll just laugh at them.

What? Are you trying to make it so that since I believe TRP is bad, that I would be in favor of banning it? That's a stupid way to try and prove your point. You see what I said in those quotes there? That means TRP isn't outright banned. The self-improvement parts can be found literally anywhere else and therefore can be taught. Therefore, it is not outright banned.

I am not saying I would ban it. If I had, then I wouldn't allow those people who do believe in it to believe in it. What I am instead doing, is not allowing it into the education system. You asked if I would allow children to be taught TRP beliefs. I said I would not allow them to be taught. I did not say anything about what they are allowed to believe. This isn't 1984 by George Orwell. There aren't any thought police. They can beleive whatever the hell they want.

you decided to misquote/leave a key part of the quote out just to make a point. That is rather pathetic and quite hilarious.

Yeah. Why would I allow it into an educational system? It essentially is telling kids that it is ok to be mean to an entire gender. Why the hell should I allow it?

The way you formatted your argument was weak though. Instead of using a town, you should use subreddits.

Let's look at it this way! I am a moderator of TBP. Would I allow people to advocate for TRP in my sub? Of course not, but I won't ban them. I'll let them be laughed at. They can go do that in their own sub! Now let's out this in the town scenario. My town is TBP. A person can speak about TRP and advocate for it in my town but we will simply laugh at them. If they want to do it, then they can go to the other town.

Banning a sub on Reddit (and other sites related to it on the Internet) is the equivalent of wanting an entire town in a country to be destroyed just because of something they believe in.

I'm not advocating for the entire town to be destroyed. I just don't want to see TRP being taught in the town where I live. They can go teach it in another town. I could care less.

Therefore, I do not advocate for the entire sub to be banned. I only advocate for it to be kept out of TBP. I mean... Boi.... Can you not do the logiks?

That is a terrible way of thinking. If you are going to try and compare a sub to something that exists in real life, then size plays a massive role. The difference between a town, a country, and the world is very significant. Your argument was all over the place and falling apart simply because you couldn't distinguish the difference.

Of course we are better than them, men actually employ things like morality, honor, and loyalty. Not not all men do, but most truly do because most men want to be good and help society, most men do not identify as being evil.

You cannot control and effectively fight your enemy if you do not acknowledge and understand their tactics and thinking.

And yes, enemy, men and women are always at war with each other, women always want to control and do control men greatly. If someone is an LTR they are controlled by that woman, guaranteed.

To not acknowledge and see their behavior leaves men defenseless against it as men presume people operate logically and truthfully, while women do not believe such limiting things.
