I stopped watching her even though I liked her when she first started the channel.

It seems like every new video is a remake of an old one. She preaches the same ideas over and over again, and honestly, it got boring.

I also can't help but feel like most of her advice doesn't come from her own experience, maybe because she shares very little about her personal life. I don't want to know where she lives or her SSN but an anecdote or two wouldn't hurt. It's the showbusiness after all.

She's very pretty though and I like her sense of style.

I liked her at first but her personality seems a bit forced. She almost seems like a caricature.. so I don’t watch her anymore.

I like a lot of her content. But I can't help but feel that her smiles and overall presentation are... fake. Something just feels very off when I watch her videos. I thought I was the only one with how many positive comments I was seeing about her and thought I was going insane. But I'm reading other commenters here talking about it, so I can see I'm not the only one and I'm relieved.

Being feminine does include being kind and polite and friendly. But it also means being genuine. I've stopped watching her content just because it makes me feel so conflicted.

I like watching her’s and Cynthia L’s videos for relaxation with tea. They are rather soothing, positive and good if you want to watch something but you don’t want to think.

I wouldn’t watch these to learn anything new or elevate myself in any way though. Sometimes they post videos in which they give advices on how to improve yourself in many different areas. I find those unsurprisingly vague, generic, obvious and I almost never learn anything I hadn’t already known before. I do not find them helpful and I do not think they will help anyone either.

Especially when posting things like “feminine finances” and not providing any actual advices when it comes to economics - like inflation, investing and diversifying, budgeting with examples of templates and softwares you could use, book recommendations - nothing. I really do not think advice like “oh, stop spending frivolously” will help anyone.

When I want to learn and improve my character, I much prefer to watch lectures of psychologists and biologists. Read some scientists like David Sinclair, Matthew Walker, Robert Sapolsky, Steven Pinker, Noam Chomsky, Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris or Jordan Peterson. Sure they don’t approach things through “feminine and cute” lens - but they surely approach things through facts and science - and even if they are limited to what we know today, I believe to average Joe or person who hasn’t been thorough the journey of self knowledge, they can be really eye opening, helpful materials. Feminine, childlike, kind... I don’t think any of these matter if we don’t know anything about ourselves as humans first. If we do not understand the chemical processes, behavioral patterns, psychological aspects, our temperament and personality, then wearing feminine dress and being cheerful won’t help, especially when you are surrounded with chaos.

And once you do engage in search of meaning and who you are, you wouldn’t be able to produce such vague content, which leads me to believe these ladies haven’t done that.

I wish there was one, only one feminine you tuber who would actually approach these topics seriously, deeply, concretely with facts, solid advices that are specific etc.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say she doesn't seem fake to me. I really enjoy her content! We are both from the midwest and the same age, I think. I feel like if I was on YouTube (which I don't think I'll ever have time for), I'd have the same mannerisms. They are very guarded and midwestern, haha. IMO her cheeriness and confidence might be an "act" but her sentiments seem genuine and the info is quite good!

Check out AlexandrasGirlyTalk on YouTube! She seems very genuine to me, and she knows SO much about how to dress, beauty tips, and how to get in touch with your femininity in general.

Check out milena cicciotti on YouTube! Specially her older videos about dressing modest and feminine are good. She also has many videos on faith if youre into that! I find her much more natural and relatable than mrs.midwest.

I think Mrs Midwest is an interesting case study in being a red pill influencer. Personally, I find her content pretty bland. There's more actionable advice and inspiration during an average week at RPW than in her blogs and videos

That said, Mrs Midwest is interesting because:

-She claims to be a housewife while growing a online business. Shooting and editing videos, blogging, instagramming, dealing with sponsors, etc. doesn't happen on its own. She's really running at least a part time small business--and a seemingly successful one!

-Her tone on her blogs, Insta, and videos is far more open and inclusive than her (now paused?) Twitter account, where she used to RT very conservative folks ( stuff like "we're going to hell in a handbasket because women work" from say, Lori Alexander).

-I give her the benefit of the doubt that she's not a white nationalist or supremacist, but she would occasionally RT stuff from people who are considered white nationalists. Maybe it was very mild content, but she didn't seem vet the accounts that she followed or liked. I think this is very unwise of her. For one thing, her social media persona will reflect badly on her husband's career as a cop if he's ever involved in an incident or has a complaint filed against him. And, her liking questionable accounts reinforces the (false) criticism that red pill women are simply racists or white nationalists or flunkies for the alt right.

-As a white, Christian conservative woman whose livelyhood is tied to the police, she is in a very strange position and I'd bet it's hard for her to navigate social media right now (I believe she's been taking a break from at least Instagram from the past month).

I really loved her for quite a while, but I agree she seems like she forces herself to be this happy girl all the time.

Another thing: she talks all the time about how she volunteers but I've never seen her actually volunteer (or document it or write/post about a specific volunteer project, you know what I mean).

Also, every time she features her husband, I can't help but feel that there's something off about him. Can't really figure out why or what exactly it is.

I still watch some of her videos because she does have some great advice and I also really like her vlog's aesthetics. I just don't think she's a perfect angel like I used to.

I really like her. I find most YouTubers to be somewhat fake, since they're basically acting. I think a lot of these comments are really unfair and vague. She represents a lot of the values we advocate.

How about her video on “casual sex”. Although some parts were valid, I disagreed with a lot of the points against casual sex altogether

I’ve done the same during COVID now that I’m home more with my boyfriend. I bought myself pretty pastel loungewear/athletic wear for spring and darker warmer colors for fall. You should check out the Lululemon subreddit for really cute outfit ideas and a supportive group of women :)
