I talk to my mom all the time about RedPill shit and she hates it but understands where I am coming from. She has a pretty good perspective on things (she was born in 1948 so she is a baby-boom woman) and she realises that many women these days are all out of control but for good reasons.

It's a pendulum swing. Back in her day and before she was born women were super motivated and jazzed to be helping out in the war effort supporting their husbands overseas by making weapons of war and feeling good about it. Being a home maker wasn't looked down upon and everybody pulled their own weight yada-yada the good old days etc. What's interesting is the way women have changed and WHY that's most telling. After the war women and men enjoyed peace and prosperity unlike anything they've ever known. So women were no longer left to clean and sew and nurse their young but were now able and willing to pursue the same interests their husbands did. So they did with aplomb, and have been doing so ever since. With this return to the work force came competition, and males thrive in competition whereas women now feel 'threatened' by it. It is not in their nature to claw and scratch and bleed to get ahead and the work force is a brutal place where they were not prepared to be flanked on all sides like men have been.

Eventually feelings get hurt and women exploit that to their advantage. They have their own pre-conceived notions of "mistreatment" from the start and many aspects of work culture offend their sensibilities. So now we see women in the workforce demanding that the culture change to benefit the individual but it should be the individual that benefits the culture. The pendulum will swing the other way when it reaches critical mass and they start hating each other more than the men.

Somehow I got into such a conversation with my mother. I can't remember how. I think I was talking about it with my dad and she overheard.

She got really mad and said it was distancing me from "nice girls" or something. I told her if she ever wanted to entertain the possibility of grandkids, she'd better let me do my thing. She stopped after that.

Had a "come to Jesus" with my mom last month as well.

She is the typical AWALT. Granted, she is my mom and I love her but facts are facts. I am one of three kids by two different men. Both of whom she hooked up with when she was in her 20s, married, and divorced because she "don't need a man". But yeah we were on foodstamps, child support, and any other "you go, single mom" type of government funding there was. My dad was a typical redneck, druggy, alpha that loved to get drunk and fight. (And she still can't believe that my biological dad hit her when she was married to him....eh hamster)

But yeah, back to the story.....

She had a stroke of luck and found an older man who is pretty beta but has alpha tendencies. Has a good head on his shoulders and loves doing side businesses like hauling rock, buy and sell used cars, etc. Has a steady income and pension. Well, he has fallen ill a few times because he is diabetic. When I went back to my hometown and visited her, I could tell just by how she looked at him that she was disgusted that he couldn't do as much as he normally does because...well....he is old and had a long life. (68 years old. She is 54). I noticed how she was treating him. Belittling him at times and talking shit about him to me. They didn't even sleep in the same bed any more. He slept on the couch in the sitting room and she slept on the couch in the living room.

One night, my mom, her husband, and I were sitting at the table and eating and she said something about him. Pretty much a backhand insult and it was the last straw.

Me: Mother...that is enough of that.

Her: What...well he is.

Me: He is your husband and you will respect him. I am tired of you emasculating him and belittling him in front of me. Yes...I understand that he has health problems and this bothers you because you feel you deserve better. But to be frank, he is the best you are going to get. You are 54 and at times a pain in the ass. But guess who cares about you enough to put up with your ass. Yup...him. He gives you anything you want and does so with a smile on his face but yet you feel the need to talk down to him all the while asking him if his pension will roll over to you when he dies. Disgusting. Top it off that you don't like sleeping in the same bed as him because his medication makes him twitch in his sleep? This is your husband. If his legs are restless at night...you will massage them so he gets a peaceful night of rest so he can get up and work to make sure you keep this life that he help build.

I stood up and walked out after that. That night, she was in bed with him and he told me that he really appreciated what I did. Last I heard, things were going great between them.

Its your family so, its not my business but, in general I have noticed as the years go in that women's mouths are getting worse and worse.

Your mother needs to get used to you disagreeing with you. I've been arguing all my life with my mother, and its just the ebb and flow of normal life. Likewise with my sisters, wife and daughter. If you disagree with them, just say what you think. If they cry, just shake your head sadly and walk away.
