I haven't seen this topic covered yet, nor have I found it after searching, so I think it's about time we had a conversation about taking care of your face.

Many men seem to follow the same routine they did while they were teenagers. They clean their faces with the same soap they use for their body. This is fine for a while, but sooner or later you need to grow up and start taking better care of yourself.

The skin on your face is much more sensitive than the skin on the rest of your body. Thus, you should be using soap that is created for your face. It's just common sense. Using regular soap dries the face out and ages it more quickly. You don't see the results immediately, but over time the wear and tear will build.

Now, you guys may be thinking that this sort of thing involves too much effort, but alas, it does not. Simply put, it involves a couple more minutes of shopping at the store and a few more dollars.

I myself use Dove Men + Care face wash while in the shower and then use Dove Men + Care face and body lotion when I get out of the shower. (No I don't work for Dove, use whatever you'd like so long as it accomplishes the mission).

I also tend to get acne, but I've visited a dermatologist and have been prescribed pills as well as ointment to treat it. I only use the pills now because they do the job, but I HIGHLY recommend visiting a dermatologist if you have acne issues. It does much better than anything bought in-store and is relatively cheap if you have insurance.

Share what you guys do to take care of your face. This small change will help you look 30 when you're 40, so just do it.

Also make sure to drink water. Lots of it.

Edit: This was quick write up while I was on break for work so I kept it short. If you guys are interested, I can write a little more detailed summary of this as well as a few other tips that go a long way for men. Regardless, I'm a big believer in the KISS method, so I keep it all short and sweet.
