I would walk up & ask her name & after getting her name id say .. “you’re cute where’s your bf at?”

She’s either gonna say “at work” at home” or “at school” ..

then thats when i’d usually say “tell’em he’s a lucky man because you’re beautiful, nice meeting you” & go about your day.

But if she says “i don’t have a bf” then that was the green light to ask for her number. So it usually went something like “i don’t have a bf” then I’d say “really? i find that hard to believe cuz you’re beautiful. What are my chances of getting your number and staying in touch with you?”

Good inner game can compensate for a lot, sometimes without us realizing it.

Let's break this opener down:

People generally like to be understood and dislike being misunderstood.
- So starting off with an assumptive statement about someone that turns out to be wrong, is putting yourself at a handicap.
People in a relationship often dislike the fact that they aren't seen as a person, but rather, as a collective pair with their significant other, or as a possession of their SO.
- Comments which react as if an unseen SO has marked territory, are a potential handicap and cringe.
Opening by asking if she has a BF and then walking off if she does, is not really "meeting" someone except in the most superficial of ways. Though the dictionary definition of "meeting" someone has been met, people generally consider "meeting" someone to involve actually getting to know at least something about them beyond their name and physical appearance.
Complimenting something specific about a person's style, fashion, behavior, or word choice would be meaningful. Complimenting someone with a one word adjective requires zero insight and is a missed opportunity at best.
Though I'm sure anyone using these kinds of openers must have standards, the only apparent ones in the opener are, "Is she single? Cool, get number." Which is inherently desperate and thirsty.

Now with good game, someone can take this approach with all its flaws and turn it into a winning one.

But a newb just learning? They're going to crash and burn because of all the built in handicaps with this. Running practice approaches with it is not going to help them develop anything except thicker skin and apathy as they get rejected repeatedly.

And short story long, that's why the post was taken down:

It's not clear enough that it's an advanced technique for people who already have solid fundamentals.
And it's not something that will be helpful for the newbs it's seemingly pitched at.

Idk as a girl this approach sounds kind of creepy. it's kind of like you're asking whether or not she is alone which puts a lot of girls in a really uncomfortable situation. Also what if her boyfriend really is around, does that not put you in a weird situation??? You sound like a super confident dude, so I give you props for that. I find it intrusive to ask about a boyfriend in the first minute of talking to someone. It’s a turn off and they might lie immediately because it’s too overwhelming for some random to ask that. I much prefer indirect, just starting a convo, seeing if it flows, if it doesn’t then you ain’t compatible anyway if it is she’ll even give a number even if she’s seeing someone.

It's better than what most guys are doing. But, I'd think the escalation to a number close was too fast as nothing has really been established yet. Very little attraction and probably no comfort.

Your vibe is what she will be attracted to anyway, so the words are mostly irrelevant. But, if a structure helps, I'd say use it. Just be sure you know the fundamentals (establish man to woman frame, laser eye contact, 100% intent, fully expecting a positive response, etc...).

You'll have a lot better success doing this if:

1) You are physically fit, dressed well, and have some style.

2) You spend a little more time talking to the woman, getting to know her, getting her a little invested, and then asking her for her number. Usually I spend at least a few minutes talking to them before asking to have the maximum success. It's a little unnecessary to ask if she has a boyfriend. If you ask her for her number or instagram, she'll automatically tell you if she has one or not. Also, direct is good if you're new-ish to day gaming. Get less and less direct as you get more experienced. A lot of times they do have boyfriends but they almost always say they appreciated my approach and that they thought I was charming/handsome/cool/etc.

This is pretty much the approach everyone I knew used at a very young age as a first way to get numbers. It's the most basic of basic baseline approaches.

It's literally almost word for word what my mom told me to say to girls.

Does it work, yes. Absolutely, better than nothing and it's great if all you can muster is something simple.

Dude, not saying you're wrong, but I've worked in the service industry for at least 15 years and I've witnessed a LOT of my female coworkers get hit on just like this and they always turn around and laugh their fucking asses off. Had a coworker just last week get told out of the blue by a guy at the bar that she "had a cute necklace on" it was literally a piece of metal cut into a heart on a chain. Nothing cute other than its a heart. She was so weirded out by it she wanted to barf. Yeah, have confidence that's fine but not this.
