Biggest test a man should do early on is to simply say no to something she wants, gauge her reaction. Doesn’t have to be a ‘big’ something but, good to test.

Shit tests are just one of the many side effects to abundance for all humans. The only reason men don’t shit test more is because they typically operate out of scarcity.

You will naturally start to shit test when you gain an abundance of options.

Some men will do this thing that's very similar to shit tests, yes. But for a different purpose than women.

It's usually done as a screening tactic to see how compliant and open to sex a woman is. Especially a woman that's not that attractive to his eyes.

For example, a guy might be open to sleeping with a woman, but he's a bit on the fence about it. So he might see how compliant she is by engaging in heavy sex talk over messages. And see how she responds to it. Or invite a stranger directly to his house instead of taking the effort to meet her outside.

It's basically a test of "are you willing to do x,y,z for me then yeah you can come over to fuck. Otherwise I'm not interested"

To get extra dark with it: Some men use this "shit testing" behavior to check for compliance as an effort to gain control and manipulate someone. R. Kelly would ask women to do random shit for him like walk there and there. Take your clothes off - do this and that. Here, let me call you a different name and yada yada. It's all an effort to test for compliance and how much she will let him exert his will and control over her. It's an evil manipulation tactic.

I test women but not in a shit way lol. First date I have tests to see if she’s into me and how much. Sitting next to her rather than across from her will usually clear it up instantly. I’ll ask open questions to see where her head’s at and if she has a valuable or worthless mindset. Etc.

There are things to remember:

A test is a way for someone to filter out the ones who do not deserve for a further engagement.
Filtering is done by one who has the upperhand in a negotiation.
Women hold the key to sex. Men hold the key to marriage.
Women only have one egg to fertilize and have to endure 9 months pregnancy + years of supporting a child. Certainly they want to make sure they get the best seed and father would be there to protect.

Logically, in general women shit test men before sex, and I won't be surprised if some men do some sort of shit test to check if a woman worth to marry.

Not sure though if there are some men of a very high quality that shit test women prior to sex.

I do anti gold diggers shit tests. First date I have no problem inviting, but you have to get to the date yourself. I tell them I don’t have a car (I’m not in the US so generally shouldn’t be a big deal since in other countries we are ok walking and using public transport or Uber) I do also lie about my job and don’t show up with an expensive watch on the first date. If everything goes well, she seems interested and fucks me thinking I have average money, next dates we will go to expensive dinners, nice hotels or trips. It has worked amazingly well so far

The whole time being with them is a shit test, we might not even pay attention subconsciously we are looking for things that they do that we don’t like or things they say that we don’t like

Actually not for the same reason as women. Women “shit test” as a way to see how men will respond in hypothetical scenarios to gauge if she has chosen the correct person.

Ie. She may start a fight with you to see how you handle the situation, if you make a big deal out of something small or if you handle it very easily and nonchalantly. If you fail enough shit test its will indicate to her that you are not a suitable mate or long term partner to raise children with. If you for example get super emotional and super stressed over something small it will make her feel unsafe because it indicates to her that you cannot take care of business.

That is essentially why confidence is attractive to women. Confidence is a trait that indicates to a woman that your self perception most likely matches reality. Ie. You cannot be confident if you are not competent. You may be able to fake confidence but only for so long.

Failing the shit test will trigger a response in the woman where she will most likely lose attraction. They won’t exactly know why this happens, they will simply “feel” it. But that’s natures response in screening out men in order to increase survivability. The women who didn’t do this properly probably ended up dead which is why this specific process of mate selection still exists: because it works.

Having said that to answer your question, there is a male form of mate selection or “shit test”. I’m not sure if this one is biological like the female version but it does indeed happen.

This consists of the man gauging if a woman will sleep with him too early in the dating game. A man will subconsciously place women into 1 of 2 categories: someone to sleep with short term, and someone to actual start a family with.

If a woman for example “puts out” too quickly, the man will subconsciously label the woman as “not serious for relationship material”. This means they will be fine bedding them but they will not feel attraction to be with her long term. This is simply because he is thinking if this woman puts out so quickly it must mean she does this with every guy. Which then makes him think that the woman is lower value because she is not hard to obtain.

Not all guys do this though and not all women who put out quickly end up single. But I would say a lot of them do and it is because of this categorization that happens subconsciously.

Here are some of mine:

When we walk together: Does she follow my lead? Does she walk at my pace or just go ahead?
On the first date I always pay. But I will observe whether she has the intention to pay and if she says "thank you" afterwards.
I will purposefully talk about a sensitive topic. Do we agree? If not, can she stand facing different opinions?
Does she keep agreements? Being 5 minutes late is fully ok, but not showing up or cancelling on very short notice is not.

Some women like to push past flirting - like getting to close or to physical when that is something I’m not ok with Or If they shit test me - then it is fair game.

I basically trow out the harder shit women trow. Like pushing It back to flirting or avoiding her.

The jab trowing is actually flirting. (The you are short, bald or what have you) - men usually tend to have fragile egos.

The whole let’s keep it logical - test is one that I have 0 idea if anyone has ever fallen for.

Something I realised recently is:

I actually think shit tests are done by girls with Low self esteem and that that is their way of flirting .

I have never been shit tested by a normal functioning girl . Only by some girls with mental problems.

Man pressures woman to have sex shortly after meeting. Woman stands her ground. Man ends up respecting her more. In the other scenario where they end up having sex - he doesn’t end up seeing her later cause he thinks she’s just putting out for anyone and doesn’t see her as choosing/valuing him more than others.
