It's easier that way because there is no pressure for the girl since she is with friends. As long as their friends like you they will be on your side most of the time if the girl is available. It's also easier for conversation because they will help you through it.

Go up to the group and ask them for their opinion on something. My go to when I was a beginner was Neil Strauss’s jealous girlfriend routine (if you’d like me to write it out for ya just say so I’m the reply). Do not and I repeat DO NOT focus all your attention on the girl you are trying to get at. Ignore her for a little bit, chop it up with her friends and when she eventually tries to bud in say “is she always like that? How do you guys hang with her?” say this in a playful manner of course and after saying it be like “I was just fucking with you”, again in a playful way.

If you say none of these things previously mentioned the one thing you must say when running a set is “so how do you all know each other?”. People love to talk about themselves.

Other than that you know the drill. Be irrationally confident, don’t be too serious (be playful and nonchalant), and don’t take anything that happens seriously. Remember it’s called game not work. Now gl man, I believe in you!

Last time I did this I was at a bar with a bowling alley, so I just asked them if they wanted to throw a ball or two and got to know several of them. Didn’t go anywhere but I was with some friends so I wasn’t trying to pick anyone up. Just be confident and provide some sort of interaction with the whole group before focusing on the one girl. Treat them like humans and chat, add in some flirting and touch if that’s what you’re going for.

I think this becomes harder if the girl is in a group of guys or is with a guy. Because the dude will know what you are trying to do. But if it’s 2 girls then it should be fine.

Just don't try to pick her up, just pay attention to the group and have fun. One or more will start showing some interest.

If she/they aren't interested you will get frozen out quickly, move on and keep having fun.

Here is another thing to look for, if a girl is interested she will peal off from her friends. If she is making heavy eye contact with you, she has already let her friends know to let you in. Girls that are less subtle or more daring will engineer a reason to talk to you.

If they look closed off, don't bother.

It depends on the situation really. If it’s a party or highly social situation, you can introduce yourself to the entire group. Send them a drink or walk up to b the group.

If it’s in standard public spaces or stores, then you could try the same thing but carefully. It’s actually good to say hi to everyone instead of singling one woman out. So strike up a conversation about an interesting topic that’s not necessarily flirtatious and just introduce yourself
