" Looks really don't matter."

It's fucking incredible that women can say that with a straight face while looking you in the eye. Looks do matter. Yeah your personality and character are far more important. But personality and technical game things being equal, looking better will get more girls to like you, and girls who like you to like you more. Plenty of girls who reject you on approach, just aren't physically attracted to you enough.

That's kind of harsh. Reality though. So how do you view this reality in a way that encourages working on looks, but also stops you from judging yourself and lowering your self esteem.

I view it in terms of effort. Don't judge yourself on the end product, just make sure you put forth effort. To me, the amount of effort I put into my looks on a scale of 1 to 10, determines the hottness of girl I can pull.

I work on myself with the assumption that: if I put 1/10 effort into how I look, I can only pull 1's. If I put in a 7 out of ten effort, I can pull 7's. If I really look at myself, work on myself, and try to look the best I can look, 10/10 effort, then I can pull a 10.

I find this mindset allows me to acknowledge that looks matter, in a way that's healthy and promotes self esteem.
