Hello fellow Sedditors!

I'm a sophomore in college, and there's this cute classy girl I have a huge crush on. She's always surrounded by the same group of friends (and I don't know any single one of them) or just random guys hitting on her. I started to take care of myself and dress better the past few weeks just because of her. And today, for the first time, I saw her walking alone, and she was coming my way. It was a perfect scenario, exactly like what I had imagined several times. I thought to myself "Alright this is it, it's time now, she's alone, for the very first time, I've already thought about many ways to strike up a conversation, so let's do this..".

Sadly, just as she was walking right past me, I chickened out. I got nervous and froze in my place, couldn't say a single word. As she was walking away from me, I was shocked, and so mad at myself. And since that exact moment, I've been beating myself up over it. I keep hearing this voice in my head yelling at me " YOU IDIOT! You had one chance, and you blew it! Now you'll never even get to talk to her. You might as well give up now and bury those feelings deep inside, because it's never gonna happen".

My question is : Are these feelings normal? Is it okay to get really mad at myself for missing such a chance? I've been feeling down all day long and I'm afraid that I might not get over it which will definitely discourage me from making any more attempts in the future.

How do I deal with people who resist me changing myself? Since I've been reading seddit, I've become more confident, more energetic, more talkative, but I have a close friend who takes issue with this, and though some of his criticisms are valid and though I make an effort to accept all feedback with open arms, some of the things he criticizes me for are just fundamental things of my personality. For instance, he takes issue with how I flirt with girls.

Have you seen the increasing amount of unhelpful comments lately?

I mean puns, funny sarcastic comments in the threads. I like a good laugh like anyone, but this comments don't contribute to the community at all, and worst of all those comments are most of the time ranked at the top of each thread.

Maybe is time to work on creating the new private community for long time sedditors.

Also when the will Tofu will continue with his guide? It would be great to have it up there complete in the sidebar.

There's this chick I met two weeks ago through a mutual friend. We hit it off and hooked up at the bar the next night... 6 days later and a bunch of us are going out for my buddies 21st birthday. We get plastered and I end up sleeping at her place but couldn't f-close because mother nature made her appearance that week. In the last year I have really worked on getting my confidence up and acting more alpha. I feel good and I act like it. Recently I have been having this problem where girls have shown interest in me but then shoot me down when I ask them out. What has me confused is they never make excuses like "sorry I'm busy" like girls have done to me in the past, they straight up tell me they don't like me but continue to initiate convos with me and flirt. Could I possibly be coming off as too confident? Its almost as if they are attracted to me but they don't want to be. If these are just shit tests, how should I proceed?

side note: We work together but it is very easy to avoid a person. She actually gets in trouble often for talking to me instead of helping customers.

I met this girl at a party, had a really fun conversation, and #-closed. I texted her a couple days later with some joke in reference to our conversation, and she responded back almost immediately. I asked her to grab a drink with me later in the week, and she said yes, but added that she was very busy this week until Thursday so she'd have to get back to me with a specific day in which she'd be free.

I don't find it too difficult to believe that someone would be busy all week, but perhaps I am being politely blown off and I don't realize it? If that's not the case, when and how do I re-invite her for that drink? Or do I just forget her until she gets back to me?

This is more an observation on the community, but it seems like the vast majority of the posts come from people saying they are in school or college/university.

Are there seriously no members here who have been through all of that, gotten a job (and thus unable to do any daygame), and yet still have trouble with this?

Seriously, it makes me feel pathetic, because the only people who seem to be having trouble are those who are younger than me.

Getting new numbers, beginning small conversation via text messaging, and after a few texts back and forth (few = less than 5) I cut to the chase and say "How's your schedule looking next week? Lets grab a beer on ___day."

With three different ladies, after I have texted this message to them, I have not gotten a response. Nothing. The discussion is dead and I refuse to text again if they don't want to answer a simple question.

Hey, Seddit, I need some outside perspective. I've been reading lots of relevant material for a while now, but I'm not having tons of success. Or really any.

So here's the thing: women don't seem to be sexually interested in me. Like basically ever. I've been with a few, but they're almost always long-term friends who are attracted by my personality and decide to take it up a level.

NEVER have I made out with a girl within a month of meeting her.

So to give you some info, girls tend to like me as a person, for what that's worth. I don't drink alcohol. I am uncomfortable in situations where alcohol is present. 99% of the hookups I've ever heard about were substance-related, so I know that's a hindrance, but this community is supposed to be about gaining the tools to seduce without alcohol.

Girls tell me I'm funny, but it doesn't get me anywhere. It's exactly as if I were really ugly, but no girl thinks that, and neither do I (and I'm not retarded; I own mirrors).

My friends, meanwhile, just get hit on left and right without really trying.

So here are my theories:

My body language could be terrible. I've been working on the torso/arms and what not, but maybe my eyes just betray...I don't know what. Aggression, or an alarming sobriety.
I don't drink, I hate drunkenness, and it basically kills my chance to meet people in a hookup-friendly environment.
My standards are too high. (I'm often willing to hookup with average-looking girls, but I never ever try with them).

Those are just conjectures---if I knew what I'm doing wrong, I'd stop it. What are things that could be killing my chances before I even get started?

Any advice on girls who come from a conservative culture? I met a foreign exchange HB9, took her out on a date, kino'd, tried to k-close and got turned down. Apparently in her culture, there needs to be an official bf-gf relationship before there can be touching. I was also told that guys have taken it as a sign of disinterest and they shouldn't. I have a roommate, havent started liking her until recently. We've never kissed or gotten sexually physical, just more friendly physical, sitting close, cuddling on couch, etc. Happens way more often when were drunk, but also sober. She is single and definitely wants to be in a relationship. She is very good looking, turns down guys all the time. Often when were both out and some dude is hitting on her she comes to me and gets close with me in front of whoever it is. I'm pretty sure I'm friendzoned, but have been starting to like her. I also think there was a point early on when she did like me, but I never made a move, and I wasn't really interested then. She always tells me how great I am, but has used terms like bestfriend before. I don't kiss her ass either, I am a very confident person and she knows that, she looks to me to lead in almost all situations. She is interested in the girls that I hang out with. and always wants to know what I did if I go out without her. She rarely ever talks to me about guys she likes, I think she understands I'm not a shoulder to cry on for her relationships. I know I can get girls, but I've never had success with a girl that was already my friend. The friendzone is hard to overcome, damn near impossible in my experiences. I know it can be done though, I've heard of stories of people being best friends then getting into relationships. How should I approach this?

I've been trying to ask out a girl I like, but am not sure how to go about doing it, and don't really know whether she likes me. Since we hardly see each other right now, I've asked her when she's free. However, she keeps telling me she doesn't know, or that there's some event coming up. I was going to ask her out on Valentine's Day, but both of us had other obligations to fulfill.

I'm worried that I'm beginning to sound creepy, since although we talk a lot, and have a lot in common, I've asked her when she's free about five different times, though never within a few days of doing so. Should I still ask her out, or is she just not that into me? Whenever we need to meet for a short time, like when she needed to borrow my calculator for a test she had, we end up talking and sitting together longer than necessary, so in that regard, I think she likes me, especially because we each come up with excuses not to part ways, but on the other hand, if she liked me, I feel like she'd have told me when she is free or simply said something like, "if you're going to ask me out, just do it."

Am I on the right track, or should I just leave things as they are?
