Advice needed:

I've been seeing a guy for the past two months in my home country. Things have gone really well and (so far) he seems like a kind, caring and respectful person who I enjoy spending time with. While we have spent a lot of time together over the summer, I have been following FDS rules (not seeing him 24/7, dating some other people, no staying over, no sex) which means the relationship has progressed at a slow and steady pace.

However, I have just moved back to the country I am studying in for the start of the fall semester at university, and he is asking me for exclusivity. I have never been in a long distance relationship before.

I like him, but is this a bad idea? Has anyone here been in a long distance relationship without having dated the person for long? I don't want to ask other relationship subs because I feel like they sugarcoat everything.
