Seeing yet more posts about women intentionally beating/stabbing/drowning/killing kids and getting handled with kid gloves. Remember when 16yo Dylan Schumaker cried his eyes out in court? He was shown no such mercy and sentenced to 25 YEARS to LIFE for an accidental/negligence killing of a 2yo.

anti-bullying ambassador

Uh what?

[–]blackmobius 954 points955 points956 points 9 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

Because it looks and sounds better than 'volunteer' or 'enthusiast'

[–]Random_Link_Roulette 398 points399 points400 points 9 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Except she implies that she speaks for everyone using the word ambassador. Fucking idiots.... Not you, people who like to use the term ambassador when it's not needed

[–]blackmobius 66 points67 points68 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Yea, attach terms that 'speak for other people' despite this being the number one sin of the privileged

[–]willmcavoy 13 points14 points15 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yea, they should really check their privilege

[–]Michichael 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Did you just assume this brave souls preferred pronoun? I'll have you know they identify as an attack helicopter. Don't you dare assume their flight profile.

[–]maplealvon 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Does it mean we can shoot them down if they come close to any more towers?

[–]Michichael 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Quit oppressing them with your cis white maleness!

[–]smookykins 56 points57 points58 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That sums up the left at the moment. They think Trump and his supporters are monsters and something needs to be done but in return they act like monsters making things far worse. It's like the recent race riots. It's like Using a missile to kill a housefly... You can bet you're gonna kill the fly, and your home!

Edit: I'm a registered Democrat but consider myself independent. I register as a democrat cause I used to side more with them and wanted to vote for primaries... However my views are suddenly considered far-right. This reminds me of the "Red Scare" and the Salem Witch Trials. Instead of being called Commies and Witches it's sexists and racists... Honestly, we should have seen this coming!

[–][deleted] 83 points84 points85 points 9 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link

For over a decade I as left leaning but now in the last few years would b considered right. Spent time overseas and when I came back, was talking to a school teacher on a date, made the mistake of saying, "family values" and suddenly she got really defensive - only recently did I realize that even discussing family is considered a politically polarizing topic. Fucking crazy. SJW's and Feminists have lost their collective mind.

[–]99639 95 points96 points97 points 9 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

I used to hate the right wing because they wouldn't leave people be. I think part of America is letting your neighbors do their own thing. They want to have a different religion? Their choice. They want to get gay married? Literally none of my business. But now the left are the ones attacking people. Want to raise your kids as Christians? Bigot. Want to vote for the gop? Sexist racist. Want to work hard enough that your wife can raise your kids full time? Misogynist. So sick of this shit.

[–]reddog2442 60 points61 points62 points 9 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Wanting to be a housewife apparently means I have a lot of internalized misogyny. Look at all the fucks I give.

[–]ikorolou 9 points10 points11 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Can we start a movement to make family values go back to meaning good parenting? Cuz its a great term for that, but it got turned into this anti gay term and that's really not helpful for anyone

They only have one collectively.

I used to get labelled as a socialist and now I've been considered right leaning.

This will be a wake up call for many on the left.

Oh yeah. Same here. I went full right this election just as a reaction to all the crazy violent hypocritical liberals.

I swear it's the SJWs that indirectly got Trump into power.

Shit I voted for Clinton and was constantly on edge to pull the lever for trump because I'm sick of these SJW types.

Looking at the data on who voted for Trump should be a eye opener for these people but I really doubt it.

[–]cerialthriller 18 points19 points20 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's not though they are still just saying "fear and hatred won" and "if you weren't comfortable voting for Hillary its misogyny"

[–]Diarrhea_Van_Frank 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Fear and hatred won, but they're "literally terrified" all over twitter, and expressing their hatred for white males and anyone who doesn't think like they do. It's hilarious. Fear and hatred lost and lost hard.

[–]Skyorange 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I'm genuinely curious, what views do you espouse that have had you labeled far right, whereas before they were socialist?

[–]thisishowiwrite 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Everyone deserves equal opportunity".

[–]fuckeh 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've always been for equal opportunity for everyone.

In recent years I've thought racial and gender inequality were exaggerated and the left was taking things a little too far. I'm also not a fan of illegal immigration, it has nothing to do with race, doesn't matter where you're from.

I'm more concerned with inequality and oppression in countries abroad, where people are killed for their sexual orientation and women are legitimately oppressed.

[–]lawrnk 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

We all grown up...

[–]fuckeh 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My views haven't really changed it's just that most progressive people kept "progressing" until they became something ugly and in my opinion somewhat hateful.

I really don't think there's less opportunity for women or minorities today, in fact it's probably easier to get hired or to get into school and find grants. There are laws to protect people from discrimination, if an employer breaks those laws you can easily sue them. It's great that things progressed but it went too far. Like if you say 10,000,000+ illegal immigrants is out of control you can easily be labelled as racist. If you say that 1/4 women aren't raped you're misoginystic. If you argue that the stats people cite to support the wage gap you're a bigot. Too many people want to be an outraged victim when they don't realize how privileged they truly are. Income inequality is real though, if you're born to poor parents you're usually fucked.

[–]Lostmygooch 14 points15 points16 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

For anyone more interested in the subject , I'd recommend a book called The Silencing : How the Left is Killing Free Speech . Very interesting and informative read. Book

[–]kurisu7885 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The thing about it is how the two extremes are.

On one extreme we have people who believe you should be able to say whatever the fuck you want without consequences.

On the other we have people who are trying, as some have said, to muzzle others.

Then we have people somewhere in the middle who believe you should be able to say whatever the hell you want but you better be ready to deal with the consequences of what you said.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Been seeing it coming for years...

[–]smookykins 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Clinton supporters are exactly like the people who demonize Tituba in The Crucible.

[–]UpVoter3145 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's often the antifa group that acts most like the people they claim to be protesting against.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Any break or variance from the "official" corporate-sponsored party narrative will be met with severe chastisement or exile. Ain't 2-party systems great?!

[–]frameratedrop 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

So you're taking the actions and thoughts of the minority and applying that to the every protestor?

That's no better than the people saying all Trump supporters are racist. I mean, that's the same thing, actually.

[–]99639 17 points18 points19 points 9 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

There's significant violence coming from the left recently and I refuse to ignore it. It's a scary new development of the progressive regressives.

[–]carelessthoughts 56 points57 points58 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

You'd be right in most cases with that but there is something terrible going on in our society and it would be a mistake to ignore it. I put in my edit so people could see that I'm not a far right guy saying this but a liberal who voted for Obama both times. I've had decades old friendships crumble cause they knew I voted for Trump. I've been an advocate for gay rights and my friends can't believe that I'm "turning my back" on the LGBT community. I've been called a bigot by people who's logic I've agreed with for years and I've hardly had many conversations about recent politics. I had a guy scream at me and call me an idiot during a mild debate and when I said I was done because of the disrespectful behavior everyone was mad at me as if I was the inappropriate one and all I said was "rape is not sexism, it's a violent assault involving sex."

What about the women that are called "stupid" for voting Trump by the popular channels like The Young Turks? Or the blacks called "uncle Toms" for voting Trump. That's sexist and that's racist... But Trump and his supporters are the bigots right? What's going on out there is "radical" and as a country we should have no patience for this kind of thing.

What troubles me most is how it's acceptable to cry about minor annoyances in your life instead of being strong and overcoming the hardships. I used to feel bad that I can't provide my daughter with the luxuries I had growing up but now I realize she's lucky that I'm teaching her how to be strong (and I don't mean by not having "luxuries") and to try harder when she is challenged.

[–]MickeymousetitdirtTop score holder at meatspin.fr 33 points34 points35 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Thank you for mentioning the women for Trump thing. I am appalled at how many women have written me off as some backwoods, uneducated redneck racist sexist because I supported Trump...I am Hispanic (my mom's side) and my husband is black. Gosh, if I'm a racist, I'm the kindest racist I've ever met for not only marrying a black man, but having the balls to procreate with him because, apparently, I am instantly a rabid, hateful racist for voting for Trump and now I'm somehow less of a woman for doing so.

It's shameful behavior to paint everyone with that brush and I would like to be able to say that not everyone who aligns with more leftist ideologies and values isn't that way; I don't want to be hypocritical and complain about being generalized and then do the same. I am trying to also listen to the viewpoints of those who voted for Clinton but I can't seem to find anyone who is willing to have a lighthearted and decent conversation about it. What's frustrating is that, had Clinton won, Trump supporters would be expected to just "deal with it". But, since Trump won, suddenly everyone who voted for him is "low-information" and it's as if a good majority of people on the left believe they "know better" and should get to speak for everyone. I feel it's that type of thinking that created the perfect conditions for Trump's victory. When you write off an entire population as "deplorable", things tend not to go your way.

[–]Fdbog 23 points24 points25 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The inability to debate comes from the fact that they see themselves as educators to your student. They know better and if you put up any resistance you're ignorant. It's impossible to discuss anything when you're being talked to like a child. Add on the buzzword bouquet they like to label us with and you have a recipe for violence.

[–]kurisu7885 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Neither side bothers with brushes anymore, they just pop the lid off and up end the bucket.

[–]carelessthoughts 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think a lot of it comes down to boredom and false information. A lot of these people want to have a purpose, they watch news that's a collection of cherry-picked facts twisted in whatever context that will produce the most views. Combine that with the pressure social media brings to many people to post a "meaningful/awesome" life to their newsfeed and you've created the desire to stand on that soapbox but not any ambition to do any digging. They yell and use name calling because they are frustrated because they know that they don't really understand what's going on. They hear so many conflicting reports from their own "side". If they aren't doing any digging of their own then how are new ideas and stats from the left created? By people taking advantage of the situation for personal gain.

Ultimately it's not a race, sex, or class issue; It's a logic one. When I watch a debate on a talk show and someone says we shouldn't be allowing the poor to flood into our country until we fix the problem with our entitlements (S.S. , Obamacare, etc.) and they get called racist...

...all I can think is, "huh"?!?!? Doesn't make any sense so this is what I came up with to satisfy my uncomfortable confusion.

I also remind myself that when people act the way that a lot of these people are it usually means they are wrong! It just bothers me that A lot of these people have been my friends for years. Hopefully I get the chance someday to say "I told you so". Your story just shows how out of touch a lot of these people really are!

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's a good point. I think this is being blown way out of proportion. Let them protest. If the right pulled this shit you know most moderates would condemn them within the party. Same is happening for the liberals. The longer they protest the more they divide their base and alienate rational folks. Too bad.

Very true, although I've yet to have a civil discussion with anyone as to why they wanted Hilary. I'm generally very curious. The only reasons I'm given have nothing to do with the Presidency.

was arrested for felony assault and faced court on Friday.

She grinned her way through proceedings before being released without bail

She won't be grinning once she realizes she can't get a job anywhere with a Felony Assault on her record. Assault of any kind, especially felony is a big no-no in the working world.

It's only a matter of time before he's busted in a public toilet trying to pay an Apache half-breed transvestite with an expired credit card for a blowjob and some meth.'

I kind of doubt Hitchens would have used the phrase "Apache half-breed."

[–]Veganpuncher 17 points18 points19 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yeah. He did. It's from 'Hitch 22' when he was dying of painful cancer and didn't really have any fucks left to give.

I could go drag it out of my library and quote chapter and verse. But I think it's better that you go to library (or second-hand bookshop) and get a copy and find it for yourself. Hitchens is always a vicious read, but his impending death removed all civilisation. He just went the full hatchet on those whom he hated.

[–]bobabouey 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I googled "Apache half-breed transvestite" before my first post, and found nothing. I tried again adding "Christopher Hitchens" and found a source.

Notably absent was the "half-breed" part I referenced in my post, it is just "Apache Transvestite." So I'm glad to confirm my view that Christopher Hitchens would not use the phrase "Apache half-breed." It is the half-breed part that is offensive, not the Apache or the transvestite part.

Whenever I hear some bigmouth in Washington or the Christian heartland banging on about the evils of sodomy or whatever, I mentally enter his name in my notebook and contentedly set my watch. Sooner rather than later, he will be discovered down on his weary and well-worn old knees in some dreary motel or latrine, with an expired Visa card, having tried to pay well over the odds to be peed upon by some Apache transvestite.

It is easy to overlook in the article because of the really disjointed way the daily mail write their articles but there is footage taken by them or at least someone at the protest. However it doesn't appear to be video of the incident itself but rather the police attending to the older man. Perhaps if the police officers had body cameras we might better know what happened. Here is a link to the video. https://www.instagram.com/p/BMp-yIjDAmH/

edit. added link to aforementioned video

[–]CleanBaldy 13 points14 points15 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The story in that video doesn't line up with what the article said. In the article, she pushed him because of something he said. The guy in the video said he pushed her first. No anger in the guys voice for the N-word? No mention of it at all?

We need a 2nd video...

[–]bionicears 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If you read the Instagram caption it does say they came to see what all the commotion was they are hearing this story second hand too just like us. It seems there are lots of different things that people and the media are saying happened. Like in a statement she gave in court she clarified that she wasn't part of the protesters and was actually walking back from a gospel choir performance going on to say he harassed her for four blocks. Which might mean that nobody was recording the encounter because it happened on the streets leading up to the protests. Then the police source in NY daily post said they were shouting back and forth about All lives matter / Black lives matter. Was she just a passer by who got caught up in the protests? Was she there specifically to protest and encountered a counter protester? It is for each person to interpret but she never denies shoving the man. The man himself hasn't given his side of the story which is strange maybe he doesn't trust the media? But I agree I wouldn't trust what that video says. I wish there was a second video.

If this bitch is a smug as we think she is, don't be surprised if she offends again while on probation and ends up violating. She then could face the original charges again but that's rare for a first offender. Probably just start the probation over again on top of any new charges.

I suspect that the woman arrested, instigated the fight in the first place. IF the old guy called her a nigger, it was probably after she got in his face, talking shit and waving her arms around. I doubt he did. He had to have known that yelling something like that, when he was surrounded by protesters would be asking for a beat down. [–]fraccus 13 points14 points15 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Common sense actually goes out the window when people are in a big group, arguing with eachother, protesting, rioting etc. Considering it IS a tactic commonly used by lawyers to claim verbal harassment (as its hard to prove without video) but then again considering there isn't such a video, only the people involved know the truth, to speculate without evidence just shows peoples biases.

[–]Honztastic 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Doesn't matter.

Words are not justification for physical violence.

[–]fraccus 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]99639 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Common sense doesn't dictate that because these groups of Soros funded "protestors" have a long history of violence. Where I live they assaulted people in line to hear Trump speak and threw rocks and glass at the police trying to protect the people in line. Several officers were hit and there's pics online of the bloody faces.

So frankly this violence is exactly in line with what I expected.

[–]NotYourAsshole 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

For me, it's the smirk she has in all of those pictures. Regardless of whether or not the old man dropped the n word, there's no excuse to act in violence. Especially toward an old drunk man. All she had to do was walk away and the whole situation could have been avoided. But instead she reacted by pushing him and expects that since she's black as long as her friends say the man called her that the jury will rule in her favor and she'll go free.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

why are you so quick to side with the old man after reading the article

Pushing someone to the ground is battery, which is a crime. Saying the word nigger, which rappers do all the time, is not against the law.

Allowing one group to use a word based, solely on their skin color, while not allowing another group to say a word, based solely on their skin color, is the definition of racism.

[–]JosephND 8 points9 points10 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

If he had actually said "nigger" around a bunch of liberal protestors he probably would have been videotaped for ten minutes while they beat him unconscious and destroyed his property and possessions

That's a pretty absurd claim given that you have zero evidence he didn't call her that other than "I don't like her"

Even the paper claimed:

A source told DailyMail.com how she said the man was drunk and 'falling around' her, using racial slurs and harassing her.

If he was in her face and talking in that manner while swaying around that could absolutely come off as aggressive and worthy of pushing him away.

That's nothing. A source can literally be anyone who says something, even if it's not true. That's why newspapers use sources, so when there's backlash the paper can say "It was what we got from the source!", and not the journalist.

Have you heard of the concept of fighting words? If he was harassing her the she might have has the right to push him away and get him out of her personal space. So sometimes, yes, just because you say something doesn't like actually does mean they can hit you. Just like you can't yell "Fire!" In a crowded room, not all speech is protected. Just most of it.

[–]shadowhunter992 10 points11 points12 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Nope. You can always walk away. The only time when it's right to use physical force against someone, is when the someone initiates it.

Especially when it comes to a word like "nigger". People don't like hearing this, but you can't begin to imagine what that feels like unless you're black yourself.

EDIT: WTF, how is this even a controversial thing to say?

EDIT: I'm not arguing that it's legally justified. I'm just saying, if he really did call her a nigger, I can see on an emotional level why she would shove him. I'm not justifying it, I'm just saying both parties are at fault here if she is telling the truth.

People aren't stupid. They understand the significance and pain that the word causes. The true issue here is, "am I allowed to physically hurt you for hurting my feelings with your words" and the answer is emphatically "no". The world would be insane if you could, as who gets to decide which word is more hurtful? Is chink or gook or wetback more hurtful than nigger? What if a black person said that to an Asian person and the Asian person retaliated by saying "nigger". Does the black person now have the right to physically harm him? Did the Asian person have a right to assault the black person? It is just pure chaos to have a feelings based judicial system.

It's not as simple as "upset" or "not upset".

If I call a black guy an idiot, that is offensive and upsetting to him, but it probably wouldn't be too bad of an issue.

If I call a black guy the n word, I am explicitly putting him down based off of the circumstances his birth and nothing more. I am calling to mind the centuries of oppression his people faced, and implicitly telling him, "you are no better". I am calling him subhuman.

You can't deny the emotional weight and stigma this word carries. The impact is real.

There isn't a single word or sentence that will ever justify using physical violence. Period. I dont care if he was wearing a Klan uniform and only saying the N word. That is his right, no matter how disgusting the words or message he is sending. It sucks that we can't do anything about it, but the only other option is removing our right to free speech. Which is far more terrifying than having to hear a racist word.
Also, even playing devils advocate and giving her the benefit of the doubt and assuming he did use that word to them, she still made the conscious decision to physically assault the old man. She escalated the situation. She could use her words just the same way he was, but she chose to be violent.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It must be nice to be able to never have to actually be in that situation and only speak about it in hypotheticals. He has a right to verbally assault someone, but actions have consequences. I don't condone violence (I'm personally a very pacifist person) but frankly I couldn't be upset about someone knocking out a racist.

[–]Hahnsolo11 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

So then you do not believe in free speech and you think that you are allowed to physically harm someone that you dont agree with what they're saying. That is how you think society and the law should function?

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points12 points 9 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Because she was released without bail, after smurking at the judge. As a middle aged white man, if I shove an old man down the cops are beating my ass with a night stick, then serving 2 years for assault - and that's assuming I plead and grovel in court. If it happened at a political SJW/ Feminist rally then this would almost certainly make international news and all you would hear is "toxic masculinity" played like a broken record.

America has the highest incarceration rate in the world. You can look at the statstics instead. Black men serve 350% longer prison sentences than white men. How the fuck is it irrelevant? it's a guy who pushed a old man, yes he commited another crime but the fact that it's there added time to his sentence for sure. He was charged with "one felony count of robbery, one felony count of aggravated robbery and one felony count of aggravated battery of a person who is over 60 years old, authorities said."

This woman is vile and had no right to push the old man even if he did go up to her and called here a n*** to her face. Be the bigger person and walk away you "Ambassador"

I hope she ends up getting charged but nothing will change her stance that she's the victim in life and all others are the bullies.

Just like 8 ball jacket guy was going to spend time in jail for slapping that bitch back in the day AFTER she hit him in the head with a stilleto. The only reason he got off is because there was a video, without the video he'd be sitting in jail.

[–]Mentalseppuku 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

They did tell the police. They said the police took statements.

[–]butterflyp00n 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Did these statements claim he called her "nigger" or no?

[–]Mentalseppuku 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I highly doubt that guy flat out call her a nigger

Based on what exactly? There is zero evidence he didn't do it in the paper but somehow everyone here is so convinced an old white guy couldn't possibly be racist. Do you realize how ridiculous that statement is? Right now it's just an accusation by her, so I'm not saying he did it, but the argument that he didn't is boiling down to 'he's white and she's a black woman so he probably didn't do anything wrong'. There is literally no reason to think he's innocent that isn't based solely on race.

Would racial epithets fall under fighting words doctrine?

Seems weird to me that people generally approve of Buzz Aldrin socking the guy who called the moon landing a hoax but wouldn't see a similar situation in calling someone a nigger to their face.

Generally speaking, I do believe that there's a line on what you can say to someone before it becomes unreasonable, personal abuse--the supreme court agrees--and fighting becomes maybe not necessarily approved, but understandable and not criminal.

[–]balorina 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think the issue was he was elderly. If it was a 20 year old guy they more than likely would have sent them both on their way.

Not that being elderly excuses any behavior, but it tends to give them a bit more leniency when it comes to rules and behavior. I've often joked I can't wait to get old so I can start shoplifting.

Here's a small selection of the utter disregard the Mail has for reality. Needless to say all of these stories were false.

In 2015, the Daily Mail posted a story about a hotel restaurant in Nigeria serving human flesh and a kitchen filled with human heads.

When work restrictions on Romanians and Bulgarians working in the UK were lifted in late 2013, the Daily Mail quickly responded with a scare piece: “Sold out! Flights and buses full as Romanians and Bulgarians head for the UK.”

In February 2015, the Daily Mail accused Israel of intentionally opening dams in southern Israel in order to flood the Gaza Strip.

In 2012, the Daily Mail posted an article entitled “Oral sex is good for women’s health and helps fight depression.

In an article entitled “Is the changing role of women in our society behind the rise in autism in the past 30 years?

Among the items claimed by the paper to cause cancer (based on "scientific" research) are mouth wash, oral sex, Pringles, Facebook and coffee. On the other hand, cures for cancer include tofu, the yellow fever vaccine, ketchup and coffee.

In the British edition, known for its scare stories on health, there was a demand to stop the compulsory administration of the HPV cervical cancer vaccine. This is fair enough and expected from the Daily Mail, as these people will go against any medical treatment given away for free. However, on the Irish edition there was a campaign to "roll out the vaccine now!" demanding that the government issue it immediately.

Repeated claims that white asbestos is "chemically identical to talcum powder" and the threat from it is so "vanishingly small" that a study by the UK's Health and Safety Executive had concluded that the danger was "insignificant" and with "arguably zero" risk of lung cancer.

This reminds of a time when buzz aldrin (or some other astronaut) was being harassed hella hard by this guy who was saying the moon landing was staged, eventually buzz punched him in the face.

It's funny because the comments were riding his nuts for days, but in the exact same situation everyone is attacking the woman for defending herself. If she wasn't a SJW these comments would be very different.

[–]UnlikelyPotato 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, to be honest Buzz Aldrin is an American hero. I'd almost be honored if he punched me in my face.

[–]Naxxremel 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's not the same situation at all though... The Buzz Aldrin video proved that Buzz was not interested in confronting the man and tried to leave and was then harassed until he acted. There is zero evidence this happened in the article. There's only the assertion that the man said 'nigger' at some point which does not license you to assault people.

Also, a big glaring difference is that Buzz didn't attack someone who was 50 years his senior like a coward.
