Just say no to people. It gets easier with time. If your not someone i care about and i have nothing to gain (exchange) then it falls purely on my charity and people need a good case to appeal to that. I also do judge based on if the events were in their self control or not. Blew your money on gambling, smoking, drinking or shopping (talking new jordans or whatever) then theres a heavy chance of a hell no from me. Theres enough people who need help with situations out of their control.

Now if this were a military situation, what could possibly go wrong? You can't drag dead weight in any team environment. Any colleague with an inbuilt expectation that their mistakes will be covered and absorbed by their equal peers is a liability.

If a woman wants special treatment, she has to treat me specially. It's a weird concept called equality.

Chivalry is the idea that a woman is owed the courtesy of help based on her gender from men. It implies that women are inferior, thus need help with basic things. It's a bit of ridicule mixed with politeness and misogyny if you think about it.

Always amazed at how easy it is for women. Had a male friend who lost his job and made a GoFundMe to help avoid eviction. Raised pretty much nothing. A couple months later his gf did effectively the same thing, raised a few thousand dollars in the first four hours. Women live life on tutorial mode.

It’s because woman are entitled to no end. I’ve had female “friends” who felt the same way and expected that I should help them anytime they asked, like I was their slave. I’d just ignore but if it got worse I’d just ask them why they expected anything from me even though I wasn’t in a relationship with any of them and their response was “don’t you want to help me”? Another girl said she’s willing to exchange sexual favours if I did. Seriously what it’s wrong with this younger generation of woman these days? How have they reached the same level as filth. They have no dignity nor respect. If men are willing to remain as real men; I envision a ton of single cat ladies in the future.

I think it’s just being nice regardless of gender. I’m a tall woman and I help short men reach things no problems asked. Most sedentary men are still significantly stronger than women that train daily.

I was never into the chivalry thing regardless of feminism. Instead I try to be nice to both men and women. However, if I notice they won’t return that kindness then I will stop doing them favours.

Some of my female colleagues try to dump their work on the men all the time but if you ask them to help you, they are always busy. I’m fine helping out the guys because we always help each other out all the time.

I helped a former female coworker several times, but that's because she was/is a very short and small woman and she needed some really heavy boxes moved. To me, it wasn't one of those "you're strong and independent; do it yourself" moments.

On the other hand, I have another female coworker who made a snarky remark to another woman I work with (this was about two years ago) about how she should just ask only women for whatever she needs help with from now on. Supposedly, this coworker wasn't getting much cooperation from a guy on the same floor about a certain task.

Although it hasn't happened (and I doubt it will), I'm just waiting for this woman to come to me for help so that I can say "Why don't you go ask (insert female coworker's name) for help? I'm just a man, after all!". I typically don't like confrontations and conflicts, but sometimes I just want to put people in their places.

I've known this coworker since at least high school (she graduated a year before me), and I can tell you that she's always felt a sense of entitlement about stuff.

What do you mean by help? Maybe she just wanted some human compassion and she noticed she was pnly receiving it from the women. It's not about gender. It's about being a good person

This is a vague post, so it's hard to relate to. However, this girl at work was trying to get me to do little extra jobs for her because she could tell I'm the type of guy that doesn't mind helping coworkers. When she started to try to take advantage I stopped and said, I'll do it this one time, but I'm not your "do boy". You can be a pretty decent guy and not be a door mat. I do not simp for ho's as a blanket policy.

Its good to help no matter what. However females who aren't my family or wife never see my joking/kind side only my professional side. That is only for my wife you know? I think its normal. Simple acts of kindness are cool but when they have ridiculous requests regardless of gender I just laugh at them and keep stepping. Also be careful of listening to that women hating ideology. Ignoring women who ask for help to prove a point type thing. But always keep em in their place.
