Most single guys I know that are struggling with dating put very little effort, not just on themselves, but also on even a basic profile in a dating app. They are not looking for dating as seriously as they claim, and it seems they just want to have a reason to feel like victims. If by a miracle they get a date, they find a way to fuck it up.

Most girls I know that are struggling with dating love say they do not need a man even when looking, yet they put lots of effort into dating apps profiles. They also love to hook up for just the hope of making the guy commit, which creates resentment when it obviously does not work out and the guy, full of better options, ghosts them.

Maybe it is accurate to say guys want women more than they need them, and women need men more than they want them.

I believe the reason is that guys want the status of being with women or having sex partners, rather than the company and love of a woman herself. Proof of it is how they love to give virtual girls money, even thousands, just for recognition from them. Women want the love and benefits of a high-value man rather than just company and sex. On top of that women are more serious about the family because they have a smaller reproductive window with the least risk, and men do not suffer as many consequences of sex, so naturally, women will see sex as something more sacred and important than men, who may see it as just a status symbol. On the other side, a commitment from a man means he is giving up on other women that may be attracted to him, which is a kind of sacrifice too, while for women it is closer to a safety net (ideally, they may marry the bad guy).
