"I think that the criticism / shaming of people's bodies is something that comes from both men and women. And I think people underestimate how hurtful and damaging it can be when it's coming from other women''

I can only speak of my experience. I used to have small boobs...B cup. They weren't extremely small, but definitely not an eye catcher. Weird thing though, I never cared or worried about it. I was thinking, "Well, they won't sag as much later on."

Then later, they got a little bigger. I am a C or D, depending on brand. So, kinda big but not ginormous. I'm okay with them. I'm 53... so yeah, they aren't perky anymore, and THAT'S what I was worried about when I started dating after not dating for over 20 years (due to other insecurities).

I have since concluded that boob size is impressive to a percent of men and always will be, BUT the percent of men that prefer large isn't as high as most people think. ALSO, it's just a small percentage of men that refuse to date a woman based on breast size.

I've also learned that most men (or at least the ones I dated) don't seem to mind if they aren't as perky as a 20 year old's boobs. Would they prefer those? Perhaps, but if the person behind the boobs is a good person, they care more about that than the boobs.

At this point in my life, I've come through horrible insecurities and found a new way of looking at things. I'm not going to be attractive to all or even most men, and that's okay. It's life. I don't feel that men owe me attention or flirting. I do get flirted with more often now than when I was young though. I believe it's because I'm more confident now, and I'm not shy like I used to be.

***I can only speak of myself about penis size. I actually prefer average length. I think large penises are hyped up because of social media.

I’ve been on both ends of the spectrum on this issue, having been a 34 A-F in my adult years, pre and post pregnancy.

Personally, the only women I experienced grief from over my large chest size was from my Mom, snide, passive-aggressive comments that were really ALL about her issues with her own body.

I sure got tons of comments/judgements/stares & even photos taken on the DL from men, despite not wearing super low cut/revealing clothes. When you’re petite with a 34F cup, there’s just no hiding that short of a ski parka. My perceived IQ seemed to go down by about 20 points vs when I was a “late bloomer” and flat and got a whole different set of comments.

Those comments didn’t really bother me a whole lot (it’s just my personality), however my best friend in 8th grade was already a D cup and the vile things predatory adult men said to her seriously effed her up for all relationships for life. These men didn’t even bother to look at her face to notice that she was only 13, they just saw TITTIES! and how she shied away from them and tried to hide herself and it set off their sexual predator instincts big time like a limping gazelle in front of a tiger.

To be fair, plenty of girls said mean things to her too, but they’re prone to being especially nasty at that age, and they still have the excuse of being children.

Getting a reduction and winding up in a happy, heathy middle ground was one of the best decisions I ever made for myself.

I'm not sure of the point of this entire conversation. She doesn't like men who make negative comments about small breasts. I didn't take her comment as her saying ALL men say that. But some do, that can't be denied. I prefer smaller, well-formed ones, definitely not large ones; and I've heard plenty of men disparage small ones.

I'd say most men don't like women talking about small dicks, because guys either do have small dicks or know they it's the luck of the draw and they could have easily ended up with a small dick. I'd say both viewpoints, of seeing the other gender complain about certain physical attributes, are equally valid.
