I watched one of the Harry Potter movies, but I figured I won't watch the second or any of the other movies until I finish the books all over again.

This made think of the subject of LMV in entertainment, and I absolutely hate it. I hate the romanization of LMV men, and people being defensive of it. Harry Potter stinks of it, and it's one of the biggest franchises, and books of all time.

Look at Ron Weasley. He gets Hermione. Dude in the book treats her like actual trash, because she's brilliant and he's not the sharpest tool in the shed. His self esteem is nonexistent, he's envious, and all, so he purposely hurts her. He can't stop bickering with her, and the defense (from fans, and romanticization is) "boys treat girls they like badly!" The whole problematic mind thinking. You shouldn't have to hurt somebody, and "make them jealous" just to get them.

No. A boy doesn't treat a girl like crap, and bickers with every minute of the day, when they like them. He holds her back too, when she has so much potential for her Ministry career.

By then the end of the series, it's even more sour, his character still treats her like ass, and walks out on her, and treats her like shit because his insecurity of her snogging Harry.

Seriously, it's another Ross and Rachel. These relationships are the WORST and they're idolized. Abusive, toxic, full of red flags, jealously etc.

She should of ended up with Harry. It made NO sense. Harry actually MADE sense.

Instead she gets put with the LVM, who treats her like trash.

The more people idolize and support these type of relationships, the more the behavior continues in REAL life.
