The original poster is a horrible person. The comments make the divorce subreddit make sense. Women are so entitled in the comments. I was in the she'll never do that to me camp, this puts me the anything is possible camp.

Perfect example of some women’s “logic” take. take, take! I used to think my ex wanted to be fair! She let other hens and her lawyer convince her about how much she is entitled to as well! Of course none of these people knew our financial picture nor did she volunteer that she was technically under employed. Once she moved out her income was on par with mine because she actually had to work her 70 plus/hr job and stop calling out when she didn’t have me or my paycheck to depend on.. Moral is if you make it too easy it’s in some women’s nature to abuse you and then revert to gaslighting when you get wise!

Damn the amount of entitlement she has is ridiculous. Things weren’t great between them but then she decides to go and cheat on him, rather than actively working on the issues and take the high road. But in her words she wanted to “shag some dick on the side” I’m sure we’re missing lot of context there.

This is the problem with no fault divorce and why I will never get married again. You can be married and you wife can go on dates, have sex with lots of people, have sex in your house with other people whenever she wants and I'm pretty sure in most states it would have almost no impact on the support, alimony or the division of assets in divorce. There is no way to know the person you are marrying won't just turn on you and do this and then blame you. Everyone thinks it won't happen to them and the person they married won't be this way.

This woman is STUPID. She’s not evil, she’s just stupid and just pathetic.

She literally has had MORE THAN ONE affair with MORE THAN ONE man who won’t kiss, finger, or go down on her.

Her husband doesn’t know about her several years of infidelity, but he also doesn’t know that her pursing this divorce will be the best thing that has ever happened to him. Something is seriously very wrong with this woman.

And if you look at her post history, she definitely displays some very VERY strong traits of someone with borderline personality disorder. She doesn’t respect herself, she will never be happy in any relationship because she is so goddamn needy and insecure.

She thinks he won’t figure out that she’s having an affair, but her behavior has changed so dramatically and she’s aggressively pursuing this divorce with ZERO financial safety net. He’s been tipped off before, it’s only a matter of time before he realizes she’s leaving for sure, and for another man, because nothing else makes sense. He will be FORCED to come to that conclusion.

When you’re in a relationship with someone with a personality disorder your sense of reality has been so incredibly degraded over years of gaslighting, manipulation, and emotional abuse that you can’t see anything clearly. There’s also a push/pull dynamic that happens repeatedly over years that makes your thinking about their love an affection in such distortion that the bad things they do are minimized in your mind or you discard them, and the good things they do are amplified and feel so much better than they should. Which is why he’s clinging to this woman like she’s adding value to his life.

She needs to leave him because she is ABUSING him.

They’re in no fault state so nothing about the affair will impact the divorce settlement and a judge will not allow him to nail him self on a cross for her.

She wants to sell the house because she’s scared of being stuck with it because it has problems.

The house will have to be repaired before it can be sold and either can gain any monetary value.

She can’t afford an attorney.

I believe she stated that the purchase of the home was made from an inheritance he was given. If that is the case it might change the outcome of the distribution, depending on when it was bought.

I’ve seen this situation play out in real life, twice. It doesn’t end well for the woman who doesn’t have a high earning potential, has a personality disorder, is high conflict and has trouble maintain healthy relationships, and almost ALWAYS the relationship with the affair partner ends and they’re stuck being single, with the scarlet letter, financially crippled, a the main caretaker for the children (which she’ll probably be unable to maintain).

Some of the comments of support and encouragement to take him for everything she can are so sickening but show the mindset of the evil immorals we have to defend ourselves against, all while they have the full support of the law.
