Advice to men: It is very difficult or impossible to recover financially from a divorce after a long marriage, you are almost always better off hiding assets and risking a penalty vs certainty of lower living standard for the rest of your life

Do simple math here, after 20 years if you have $2M and get a 10% return per year, its $200K per year to maintain ONE household. Upon divorce you split 50:50 and get $1M and only $100K per year but you have to maintain TWO households. This will permanently lower your living standard
