Played around with this a bit, the following is what seemed to work best and also got some critique/feedback from both females and males.

Your mileage may vary and something else may work for your look or personality. I am trying to attract the largest pool of women to swipe right, not trying to get a specific type of woman.

My bio is short because I wanted to cast a wider net and didn’t want to write endlessly potentially pushing someone away. I briefly mentioned three obscure things I enjoyed. It allows the girl to comment on them if she likes. I also put my height at the bottom & what neighborhood of the city I live in.

Main pic is a clear close up of my face, it’s just a great photo of me that was cropped from a larger group photo. Takeaway: This should be your best face photo to pull the girl to either swipe right or open your profile.

Second one is a candid full body photo of me that a friend took while camping. I’m having a coffee on a dock with the morning sun, it has an IG artistic feel to it. Yes it’s shirtless and yes women say they don’t like this but they do, as long as you’re not duckfaced selfie in a bathroom mirror. I used to have one wearing form fitting clothing so you can tell I’m relatively fit and not fat but switched to the shirtless one and had several women comment on that photo so I kept it.

Takeaway: Basically, she needs to immediately see you’re in decent shape however you want to do this appropriately, ie beach, doing sport, etc.

Third is a more professional looking photo from a work conference where I’m in a nice suit. The photo was published on their website so it has a more produced feel to it.

Takeaway: This pic shows I’m not a complete deadbeat, many women like well dressed professional men, it shows I go to events and am involved with the world. It also shows I have some personal style and can dress nicely.

Fourth is a goofy one of me and my buddy at a costume party being silly.

Takeaway: he doesn’t take himself that seriously and likes to have fun.

Fifth is me on the track with my motorcycle. It’s actually a pretty cool pic where I’m cornering.

Takeaway: Showcases the “bad boy” or masculine side.

Sixth is an action shot of me playing soccer in my league.

Takeaway: he’s athletic, involved in social activities and it’s an interest of mine.

Think about what the deeper meaning of the picture conveys. What’s the purpose of that photo, what does it tell the girl. What attractive archetypical traits does the photo show?

I’ll cycle photos as I get new ones as well just to be current.

Your photos matter on bumble/tinder. Good clear and thoughtful photos will make a world of difference. I have guy friends who are decent looking and great people but have taken awful photos and they wonder why they don’t get a lot of matches. Photos are all she has to go on. The written part is not saving you if you look like a troll and most of us aren’t that clever to write the perfect intro that tickles every type of girl.

It’s worth it the next time you’re doing something interesting or looking particularly good to have a friend snap a couple nice pictures of you.

Bio: either keep it short and sweet or have something funny. I’ve had success with both.

Currently mine is a bit longer than usual but it’s been effective because it’s funny and unique.

I tend to change it up between one theme (as it is currently - taking the piss out of make up marketing by “selling” myself as a unique brand, which appeals to women as they recognise the style and find it clever and funny).

Or just a few bullet points about myself/my interests with a funny/cool story that lends itself to conversation. My most successful story is “I’ve kissed (insert famous actress here) - so she’s your competition”. That got a lot of “have you really?!?”.

I don’t put my height because I’m 5’8, but I have experimented with “probably taller than you” (which statistically is true) - I don’t think it makes much difference and opens up the risk of a girl asking and then ghosting if she doesn’t like the answer. Also because of my build I look quite tall so I’ve had girls assume I’m 6’0+ just from my photos.

dog pic. I’m not kidding. My matches went through the roof when I started including a picture of me with my uncle’s dog. The nice thing about this photo for me is you can’t clearly see my face so they have to open up my profile to see anything more - which gives more engagement to both my other photos and my bio.
Professional-level photo of me in the lights of Times Square. Clear face photo, probably the best ever picture of me. I look great in it. Hopefully that keeps them interested and looks at the next one.
Topless photo on the beach. Show I’m in decent shape and go on exotic holidays. Also a great picture of my smile which I think helps.
Candid photo of me looking over the horizon from a lifeguard tower. I guess it gives off some kind of edgy/philosophical vibe which works for my style.
Candid professional photo of me from a wedding. Nothing particularly special about this one but it shows I can scrub up well.
A stupid photoshop of my face on everyone in my sports team’s team photo. A bit of silly humour and shows one of my sports and interests (I don’t really have many decent photos of myself competing otherwise I’d probably use that instead).

Tinder game is reeeeeaaaaly highly dependent on a place where you live. My tinder profile is ironic. The only two photos: me standing in front of the Russian flag with tricolor stripes on the face and the expression that screams 'patriotism' (it all is just a face filter in VK Russian Facebook), and a shitty photo of my cat. Bio: m'y ass is better than yours'. Obviously, I don't have much success with it in my hometown (and Tinder is not so popular here). But when I went to SPb, Russia for a week that stuff blew up. I went on a new date every single day, got like 45 matches overall. Maybe Russian girls are not so picky tho.

Lessons learned: absolutely none.

Edit: yeah, and I am by no means a male model or a professional athlete or whatever. Not so many women seem to like my appearance irl, some even get quite scared because of the way Iook at people.

Make yourself look as attractive as possible. This is like rule 1.

Aside from attractiveness? Demonstrate value value value. Most people really don't give a shit, but if they do, you are going to want to show you are the man. (as much as you can at least).

Women will say "Oh don't post a pick of your truck" or whatever, but if you drive a 50 thousand dollar vehicle, that's value whether they want to admit it or not. With that picture you just proved you're not a bum. Likewise, a picture of you on stage playing with your band, that just proves you're talented. Playing with your big goofy dog? That shows you are fun and love animals.

There should never be any random pictures on your dating profile. They should all have a clear reason for being there because they communicate something to people looking.

Lastly, whatever you write. Like who really cares. If someone doesn't find you attractive and then isn't wowed by your pictures, nothing you write in the "about me" section or anything like that is to redeem you. Something should be there, but keep it short and concise. Just to the point. What you are looking for and what not.

Mine was basically just a small paragraph stating my interests and talents (I enjoy singing and playing guitar). It ended with a sort of statement: "Send me a message and maybe i'll write a song about you!". Overall it was sort of goofy and carefree. Also at the bottom I gave my height -182cm/6feet. I was matched either because of my height or the musical stuff :) I probably could have done better with the pics, but I just had two, that were slightly edited to look better.

I haven't used it since last year, but I was pretty successful so I'll share the knowledge I got over the years I spent with it.

BIO

What is written in your bio doesn't really matter. I'd say barely 10% of the girls actually care about what is written there and might use it to start/continue a conversation with you. Just don't write anything extremely creepy, don't write about your life, your work, what you study... at most, write something funny or a quote from a tv show/movie/game that people might recognize. Why I say that? Because these things are better used during the conversation. In the last year or so of Tinder my bio was blank and was still frequently getting matches.

PHOTOS

ALWAYS USE PHOTOS WITH GOOD QUALITY. If you have a shitty phone camera then ask a friend with a better camera to take some photos of you. Shitty quality photos give out a bad impression. This includes dark photos, blurred photos, photos with bad color, photos where you're too distant, photos with lots of jpeg noise, etc. Also avoid mirror photos as these are ridiculous 97% of the time.

My first photo would always be a portrait of myself that clearly showed my face and I would be smiling. I would always select photos that received lots of likes and comments on Instagram/Facebook (it's a good metric on how successful a photo might be).

The other photos consisted of me doing activities such as sports, playing at parties (I'm a DJ), traveling or playing with an animal. These are good to show that you're an active and interesting person. It shows that you do a lot of things which in turn means that you probably have a lot to talk about, so having a conversation with you and going out with you already becomes more interesting.

In the middle of those I'd put a single photo of me with a group of friends (preferably one that also includes women in the group). This is good because it shows that you're a friendly person. You have fun and do all the things you showed on the other photos, but you also find time to spend with friends. If you have girls in your group it's even better because that might show that you're not interested in women only to fuck, you also know how to have fun with them.

IT'S A MATCH!

I honestly started to have way more success after I ditched premade openers. Instead of using completely premade openers take a good look at her photos and read her bio with attention. Now make a joke about something related to one of her photos or her bio.

Example 1: Girl with a photo of her hugging a street light and had a bottle of wine on her hand. I could make a comment about the wine or the street light. I chose the street light and said something like "Hopefully you'll like me enough to hug me like you hugged that lamp post.". She laughed, we started talking about a bunch of other things, went to a bar a few days later and made out with her a few times.
Example 2: Girl with a photo with cats. I said something like "You know, I thought you're really cute and was even imagining a bunch of things we could do together but then I saw your photo with cat and but I'm more of a dog person myself so I don't think we could ever make it work.". This one is also good because it makes the girl wonder what you were imagining that you two could do together. She laughed, we started talking about why I prefer dogs and why she prefers cats, went to eat something and made out with her a few times.

In short, make a smart and funny comment about something you noticed in her bio or photo that most men don't care or talk about. This will make her laugh, make her feel like you're more than just a guy who wants to fuck her and distinguish yourself from 90% of the guys there. After a few messages if you feel she's actually interesting to go out with ask for her number. I'd sometimes say that I'd prefer to talk via Whatsapp because Tinder sometimes won't tell me that I have unread messages (it was true for a while) and they would easily agree to give me their number.

I had my best success when I literally had no bio (just my height. “6’3””). It’s pics.... (and im a decent looking guy, but not a super model by any stretch). and being genuinely interesting when you text...

I do have one pic that drives women crazy. (I know this because of other dating apps that allow people to like and/or message about a particular picture- and yes... I’m fully clothed and there’s nothing provocative about it-it just works. Well over 100+ responses JUST from that one photo in just a few months on match alone). So I use that info from other sites and put that photo first...

Having said that... I have even more success on other sites like match, because they have more room for a detailed bio and mine is hilarious!!! (But not clownish... I’m telling them about me in a very humorous way that shows off my real personality).

I get multiple messages each day on how I made them laugh. And so they’re making the first moves which really makes things so much easier ,

And. Tinder really depends on where you are... I travel... a lot... and don’t do that great on tinder locally. It’s kinda dead here... But have had likes come in at 30,000 ft while I’m flying over their freaking houses (I do tinder gold) and have gotten two or three dozen matches in 24hours in other cities...).

And invest in your bio! Make it relatable and not too braggy. Girls want decent guys!

I tried out all of the other popular dating apps and I've had the most luck on Tinder and POF for relationships and Adult Friend Finder for finding hookups and I think mostly it's because of my bio and not my profile photo (I’m not that good looking). I had a bunch of dates and hookups there. And also, start with a good opening line to create a good convo!

Just throwing my experience here, when you message her first, write a cute "POV" or narrative scenario, like you're a GM describing an encounter (shout out to my D&D folks, you can get laid too).

For example, "POV: you get a million matches a day and the messages you get are all the same. Then a [something that identifies you, like 'handsome blonde man'] slides into your DMs and casts a love spell. Within a single text, you've already fallen madly in love with him."

I've done this and the response rate is actually insane. It's something interesting, flirty, different, meaty. Something girls can sink their teeth into. It shows your fun and creative, and willing to invest a bit more effort and time into these girls which other men aren't. A lot of girls will roleplay the scenario back and say "Omg you're such a handsome blonde man 😍" and that makes the conversation a lot of fun because you can keep the joke going and take it in a million directions, including very sexual ones that you wouldn't normally get away with because it's hidden under a veil of roleplay.

I find this principle is often used when asking for nudes too. Nobody just straight up asks for nudes, the better approach would be to take a picture where the message is creatively written into the background so it's subtle and not super aggressive. When you're sexually aggressive/direct, it tends to make women feel like they're whores/sluts/objects as opposed to sexy/wild/fun which is what you want them to feel. Roleplay helps make them feel more fun and wild, cuz it's a game as well as a sexual experience. You're not actually objectifying her, you're pretend objectifying her, and that makes her feel safe to show some skin (yes, this distinction makes a big difference, at least in the eyes of women, which is why roleplay in bed is so popular - otherwise having her yell "YES DADDY" wouldn't be nearly as fun as it is!).

Either way, roleplaying is a way more sensual and engaging conversation then "hey, hru" "good, u?" "same" and women appreciate that. Doesn't mean you're guaranteed a date, let alone sex, but in terms of responses it's much better compared to anything else I've tried (and in my case, has resulted in more dates, and yes, sex too).
