I'm probably demisexual. I'm literaly unable to feel sexual attraction without deep emotion connection even if the man is my ideal of beauty. So I can't stomach to lay down to suffer unwanted duty sex than my body doesn't react to in any positive way, that would be traumatic.

I absolutely hate to be alone, I cry often of loneliness, I really suffer emotionaly from it. But if I can't find someone I would find that deep connection with and truly desire him I just can't. So loneliness is lesser evil, it's terrible, it's still evil, but the other option is even worse.

The thing for me is I don't actually need anyone for my day to day life. I have always been alone like boarding school no friends, parents always working, frequently changing areas so no actually close friends (28, and already have had 12 different friend groups which got broken up bcz everyone went their own way). I can handle myself alone and I don't actually need help with anything, rather people come to me for help. I don't ask for someone bcz I don't need anyone, simple.

I don't agree. If you have a high smv... sometimes those waiting in a line for you to be single are high quality.

Like who is more high quality? A woman who knows me and is like that dudes the one, he's everything i want. I will wait for him. Or some woman who doesn't see me as valuable and I have to go win her over? The first is much better match. I'm attractive and successful and if a woman doesn't see my value she's not on another page but in an entirely other book. Which makes her low quality to me. So then why would I stay single if someone who is all on the same page as me is there waiting for me? It's not about being lonely, I just don't see the point of not getting close to someone who is a good match.

I say this as someone whose had 4 relationships in 7 years and they all overlapped. I've not been single in 7 years even though it spans 4 women essentially. I kind of miss being single sometimes but I'm not going to tell a good match standing in front of me to go away. You know?

I don't think Taylor Swift was "monkey branch" swinging, considering she... actually did have gaps in between people she's dated. On top of being really famous and rather attractive, i don't think she's a good person to use as an example of someone who "can't handle being alone" - it's just really easy for her to NOT be alone (attractive, famous men also have this option.)

This post is asking whether people are content with being alone, but the body content is mostly about criticizing women for... having relationships. Which isn't the same thing.

When I have been single, yes, I did have to make peace with it. I made myself available, and I asked out people that I was attracted to and that seemed compatible with me, but ultimately I still had to go to work, and I had friends and hobbies and projects that filled my day, so I wasn't like... in perpetual anguish about being alone. I just found other things to do until I found someone I really liked and was compatible with me.

I did fear being alone but it wasn’t enough to settle. The only thing that fear motivated me to do was give people a chance.. but that never lasted maybe a couple weeks or a month then we’d part ways. I don’t have any regrets about giving up on those people my instincts were correct for the most part. Even if I let go of some good men we lacked in compatibility. They were the right guy for someone that someone just wasn’t me. I hope they found someone though.

Standards naturally fall in the absence of choice. They only don’t fall when you think you can do better but usually that's a false assessment in the absence of hard work and a real objective look at yourself.

My friend has this issue she still thinks she is a catch and at her 23-25 year old level despite being a single parent now and almost 30. She lose points for age and points for the kid. She is objectively a 6.5 now probably for most quality men

I think I am one of the very rare/odd people who are rather fine with not having a romantic partner. People emotionally suffer in LDR’s, but I can basically see my boyfriend quarterly and still be okay with it. I was single for about a year before this relationship and might not have dated at all if I had not reconnected with my boyfriend. Btw, I have never felt alone since my best friend came into my life so there’s that too.

I'm not that picky about looks, but I'm very picky about habits.

I prefer having freedom, but I also long for a deeper connection with someone. That said, at this stage of my life, I know I'd have to settle for someone that neither elicits admiration in me (which is a requirement for me to be attracted to them on a mental level) or adds more to my life than they subtract.

Therefore, if I were in a relationship, I'd still feel alone — just with more responsibilities. And that kinda defeats the purpose.

I think the reality is that we all have to settle. A more accurate way to look at it is that they are trade offs we have to make.

For example you can find a girl that is physically everything you want, but is her mind right? Especially in the west where girls are overly entitled and think they're better then men. So if you want to actually have peace in your life, a girl that actually cares about you, or a girl that isn't a single mom, you might have to get a girl that isn't that hot.

I remember I had a debate with a friend of mine that's also red pill and he really wanted a girl that was hot and didn't want to settle for an average looking girl. So he was waiting until he finished nursing school because then when he had more money he could get the a hot chick. I told him that he was still settling because she only wants him after he had money. For me I made sure I wifed a girl that was with me before I had money because I didn't want a girl that only wanted me after I had money. We just had different trade off that we were willing to accept.

All the girls that talk about "never settle", are really saying that we have to be the ones that settle for them.

Men are biologically addicted to women. It's a hard fact, and a disturbing/disheartening one when you actually sit down to think about it. Those of us who figure out a way to break that addiction discover a new form of freedom that we are never willing to give up no matter how impossibly perfect a woman could ever be. The literal perfect woman is still abysmally deficient at ever eclipsing the peace and bliss that we find in the freedom without them.

I believe more and more men are discovering this as a side effect of the Red Pill being mainstream now. At least subconsciously, which is why there is an increasing aversion from men towards commitment, especially against marriage. And why we are seeing this rising screech from women against modern "situationships" because, as I said, men are literally addicted to women, we crave them against our will, and often against our better judgement. So in a rising number of situationships men are only with women out of that uncontrollable desire to satiate that urge. Otherwise we would not be in such relationships at all.

And, as with all addiction, we know there is something wrong with us. That is why a lot of men always have one foot out the door and not fully invested and do not want to be fully invested in a woman. We are aware that we do not want to continue in our addiction, but when the brain is hard wired to crave it, we are fucked. That is where so much dysfunction comes from in relationships from men's side of it.

The ancients figured it out, they invented the concept of marriage in order for our species to function as a higher society. But a bunch of women in the 60's decided to undermine what took thousands of years to figure out, and now here we are.

I hate being alone. I have been in relationships most of my life since I was like 12.

That doesn't mean I settle. I monkeybranch. I simply have a girlfriend until a better candidate comes in. Been doing that all my life. Last time I monkeybranched was 9 years ago when I left a girlfriend (who I left my wife for) for a younger girl. I married her and we have a baby on the way. This one is the one.

There's no right one: you get to know people and you live with them for some time until you find out if you are a good match or not.

Being alone to heal is bullshit. Being alone just strengthens your eco chamber and deprives you from the time you need to spend making connections with people. Thinking you have a list of requirements and that's that prevents you from having other people showing you that your list of requirements may be bullshit.
