For those of you who met their partners outside of dating apps, would you still date your partner had his profile come up on a dating app?

I guess I would, but neither of us has ever used a dating app to start with. Realistically I do not know how I'd swipe and I do not know how his profile would look like. Plus, I'd never use a dating app in the first place - my attraction doesn't work this way, so there's zero sense in me even trying. He's good at chatting, so if we just befriended each other on a social media, it might have worked though.

If he used pictures someone else took probably. He's very handsome and has a very cool lifestyle and is very funny.

I want to hope so, but there's a good chance not.

he is not good at self marketing. hates doing it. i can't imagine what kind of profile he'd even be able to put together.

plus he looks like kind of a dork at first glance 🥰 he is one of those men who cannot look at a camera without a constipated look on their face.

I've seen his profile. It was bad, didn't say anything much about him and his pictures didn't really look like him. So it'd depend on how desperate I was feeling that day.

I was too nervous to meet anyone off the apps so i never lasted long on any, so no, prob wouldn't have met him, def would have swiped and then chicken out.

He's hilarious on social media and probably would have had a funny profile so that would have caught my attention. But he takes really, really awful selfies so I may not have found him attractive unless he posted candid pics.

I would have enthusiastically swiped on my husband. We met through mutual friends while playing a video game (league of legends). So I didn’t know what he looked like when I first met him but we ended up on the same team in a custom match and we talked a lot during that match. We connected pretty much immediately. We were both passionate about animal activism and environmentalism so we ended up adding each other on Facebook and his Facebook pictures were very attractive. We ended up playing together alone after that. Occasionally we would just talk on discord for hours and not even play video games. If I logged on the game he messaged me, if I logged on discord he was calling me haha. This happened most nights.. Which I didn’t mind because he was kinda my dream guy (an attractive hilarious vegan dude). About a year later I decided I knew him well enough I was going to try and met him in person so I asked him if he was single and he was like “yeah you?” And I said yes. Then he was like “want to go on a date?” Then when we met in person for the first time we were wearing almost identical coats.. I had a long tan jacket and so did he but his was the masculine version of my coat. Then my lease ended one month after we began dating and he asked me to move in and we’ve been living together for 7 years now.

I would have swiped, but he's only 1 of 3 men I have ever found sexually attractive by his appearance. That's why I never used apps.

Absolutely. He may be very shy and awkward but he's also hot. He used dating apps before he met me and actually got quite a few meet-ups. Which didn't go anywhere because his personality/mannerisms are not every woman's cup of tea. Fortunately for him, they are my cup of tea.

Yes, because I love his face too. And his eyes are a lovely shade. Assuming I would at least see an upper body pic--I would like his nerdy shirts, tats, and working man hands (with excellent hand hygiene).

He is a little thicc sometimes, depending on his work. But I would have chosen to go on a date with his heavier pics too. He isn't obese, for one, but I don't mind being with a dude I can smash into without fear of breaking his (or my) hips. Men with some padding feel nicer--whether hugging or having sex.

Edit: I'm assuming his FB pics would be his dating ones too

No. We wouldn't be married.

He and I had/ have lots of friends in common and have been in the same circles for years. I had seen his picture and thought he seemed like a douche/ jock type, which I am not into at all. He's also younger than I am and we may not have been in each other's age range for OLD (depending upon the app parameters).
