I care a great deal how a man dresses. And fitted pants look great on men with nice asses and thighs.

Dressing well can make someone you’re attracted to more attractive, but usually it isn’t enough to make someone change their mind about whether the person is attractive.

I care about how a man dresses. It’s an expression of personality like anything else creative.

Actually the first thing I look at if I think a guy is attractive is their shoes.

It’s not like a dealbreaker it’s more of a sign our personalities will mesh.

Clean , well groomed, and well fitted clothing is very attractive. Women will tolerate the opposite if the guy is exceptionally attractive otherwise; but good skin, hair, clothes and scent make a tremendous difference in attraction level

If I think someone is unattractive, an impeccable sense of style won't make them more attractive, but I will compliment them on their outfit. If I think the guy is attractive but is dressed like a total slob, that's a turn-off. I like people who put effort into their looks, if you're not doing that, we're probably not going to get along.

Clothes and styling are immensely important.

Have you ever seen the actors from Big Bang Theory on the red carpet? On the show they're styled to be as unattractive as possible, in unflattering clothes and crap hair cuts. But when they're styled to look good they look 1000x more attractive. Obviously that's from one extreme to the other so they probably look somewhere in the middle in reality, but clothes and styling make a gigantic difference.

Clothes also send signals about personality. I wouldn't date or bang someone who showed up in a matching tracksuit top and bottom, or a football top, or "roadman" attire. Or skinny trousers and loafers with no socks 🤢 I wouldn't get past that long enough to notice or care what they otherwise look like. How you present yourself to the world matters, and it affects how others see you.

Because i do care about outfits? I hate cargo shorts and think they’re ugly as fuck. My ex is very attractive to me and i still would tell him not to wear those. Idgaf they’re ugly.

The first thing I notice about a guy when going on a date is what he chooses to wear. Is it a lazy fit? Is it complementary? If he’s wearing sweats, im immediately docking points in my head lmao. Just like idk try???

Idk man I really don’t know why men don’t just like try. I spend hours on my hair and make up and putting outfits together because i know that extra “pizazz” is attractive to a man on a date. I want him to think im stylish and dressed up for him a little bit. Like the least he could do is put on a cute button up and some damn jeans fr. Maybe like a sweater in the winter bffr.

If he is really not attractive to me no outfit can change it. But it can improve or ruin it. I see a lot of young guys wearing sweatpants in the city, not for sport. And no matter how good looking they are it's totaly ruined with that outfit.

So I think it's more about not ruining your appearance and a little plus point but it won't turn you attractive from non attractive.

And style is also was to express personality. I enjoy looking nice and it's important to me to always look somewhat presentable I guess. So I don't think that our personalities would fit together with someone who normaly wears sweatpants in the city. You don't have to always look perfect, there can be lazy days. But if you really don't care and don't have some decent baseline I don't think we would be a good match.

But in reality I don't overthink it like that, it's instinctive. I just see they have bad style or style that clearly express non matching personality to mine and it automaticaly turns me off, it's not conscious logical thought process. I'm only rationalizing it now.

And I can appreciate good style on people even if I'm not attracted or it's not my style. Women compliment each other's style all the time.

Obviously clothes matter, you might be unrealistic about how much more attractive they make you. Two dudes who are equally attractive, the better dressed one will get more attention. Im Goth. I've had metalhead long term partners (3.5 years and 7 years) and both changed their style - one started to dress 60s/70s and the other went punk.

There were other issues - but aesthetically i just wasn't attracted. No, i dont like your boot cut cords or your ugly shoes, no i dont like your skinhead or harrington jacket (or comedy tees).

My current partner is artistic and very into style and i love it. He sews and customises his clothes. We encourage each other to develop our styles - for example i encouraged him to incorporate velvet and i paint his nails and he picks me out cool footwear and curates outfits for me. Often our gifts are expensive pieces of clothing or jewelry. Our first holiday was to another country to visit an art gallery.

(Can't go anywhere without other guys complimenting my partner. He gets photographed often. He's 60 btw- and gorgeous.)

I comment on guys clothing that I'm not attracted to because i like clothes and if someone looks good in their style i think they'd appreciate the compliment. If i think they look awful either keep it to myself or make a discreet comment to my partner.
