Married women make dating profiles all the time for attention seeking. Half the time, they have zero plans on talking to anyone. They just like getting attention until they find a Chad who wants them for some quick bedroom fun. But this is all baby steps towards cheating and / or leaving the marriage.

Perhaps it's time to consider some couples counseling from an unbiased therapist that someone else can verify and recommend. Or you could try and woo your wife again. Ask yourself daily, "How can I love my wife today? ". Do something special for her that you know she'll appreciate regularly without verbally bringing it up to her.

Women are always testing men and trying to see what reaction they get out of men. They love drama. I wonder how different her reaction would have been if you had told her calmly that she's beautiful and the most amazing woman in your life. And that if she did create a dating profile that it would hurt your heart, and the marriage would be over.

Or if you wanted to blow up your marriage, you could have been like, "Well, I'm creating a dating profile also.".

I think she was probably hoping to hear you say that she was wrong and would find that she will get replies, and then having you ask her not to do so, so that you aren't 10 times more worried about losing her than you already are!

Saying something like this could be a boost that she is needing, instead of getting the feeling of just being tied down.

It’s not that deep. She just found out that even pregnant chicks living with their parents get tons of attention online.

If other women are checking you out cuz you’re a dope ass guy she will guard you jealously. Solution: get buff, update wardrobe and hairstyle.

1 - I was expecting far more from the title. And just let me say I had the same feeling as when I finally saw the season finale of The Sopranos.

2 - The daughter thing does suck, although through hard work you are able to help in a time of need. I was not happy when my daughter and her boyfriend moved in the expected me to be ecstatic with the announcement they were pregnant.

3 - Absolutely no good will come of your wife making a dating profile. There is always someone out there willing to shot a shot especially at a married mother. Once some people experience that level of attention. It can become more addictive than opiates.

Make a stand on this. If she’s going to make one, you should make one and see how she reacts. Consider reading "No more, Mr. Nice Guy." for some valuable insights. I’m unsure what the modern woman thinks—does she even realise she's married? That's important. Stay firm on your stance; if you back down, she’ll just push for more elsewhere.

This is literally my reaction after reading this. What did she think was going to happen? That you’d say, “Yeah. Go ahead and make a dating profile to test out your theory"? She thinks she’s a researcher. Now you’re the bad guy because you gave her valid reasons why she shouldn’t.

You’re not divorced, but I hate to tell you this, buddy, you might end up there someday. It seems like your wife is just finding reasons to cheat, argue, or break up your marriage.

Tell her it’s already hard enough for men to actually get engagement on a dating site. If she is posting for the lolz and isn’t planning on talking to anyone then she is just making it that much harder for some guy just looking for love. It’s selfish to more than just her husband. Let’s be honest, it’s attention seeking behavior, but it impacts many others in a not so great a way.
