What do you mean when you write that men claim men can't have preferences? Who's saying this and what are they trying to say with that statement? I don't really understand it.

Generally though, I don't think women understand men very well and I think your examples given demonstrate how surface-level you consider men's emotions. Do you think that these conflicting statements are usually said at the same time, to the same people?

Most young men want sex and the romance is a bonus. It is often the opposite for women. This is what confuses women - not that men love sex, but that romance is the bonus for sex in many men's mind rather than the other way around. This is why male sexuality is confusing to women.

You’re the one making this connection between “wanting something deeper” and “want sex” to be synonymous and projecting it onto men. You only have to look around at the plenty successful male relationships that purely platonic but is basically a blood bond. Just because those relationships are getting harder and harder to find, doesn’t mean those relationships aren’t desperately wanted by lonely men.

Often times relationships with women aren’t successful with men because they get feelings, and it’s usually women who decided to cut things off. It has literally nothing to do with not being able to have casual sex.

Also, most women don’t just assume every guy wants to smash them, only the narcissistic ones do. So this has nothing to do with “women understand men”, it should be retitled to “narcissist women thinks every man wants to fuck them.”

I'm not sure if you never experienced intimacy with someone you genuinely care about romanticly or if you're just being intentionally obtuse.

I have close platonic friendships, I have also had casual sex before. But the feeling of being with someone I love romantically and loves me back is a totally different and stronger experience than either of those. Yes, intimacy is also a part of that. That feeling of being desired, of having your bodies intertwined, cuddling after, basking in the glow of your love. Is it so hard to see that men would want that?

Yes, sex can be just fun too. It can also be a lot more than that. If all men cared about was "connecting their dick with a hole" they would just hire a prostitute.

Few things:

men’s friendships with other men are going to be different than their friendships with women. I know people disagree with this, but it kind of just is what it is.
a lot of people say “meaningless sex” but I find that is often a trope women throw out there to shame men who don’t settle down.
men do want sluts a girlfriends, just a woman who is a slut for him and no one else. Someone who will break their rules for him.

I'm not at all a typical guy (just trust me), yet i don't like being friends with guys either and have virtually no male friends. All my close friends have been women, for decades. It has absolutely nothing to do with sex, and I've had very few instances in all my years where I had any thought of turning a friendship into a romance. I just find men generally boring and cringy and not enjoyable to converse/'vibe' with. And I'm old and not privy to spaces that would spur social development, and I'm incredibly unattractive and just beset by a ton of other major issues as well), so yeah, I'm lonely. I see no one, I haven't been touched in years, haven't shared a meal or had one cooked for me, haven't been asked to go anywhere, etc. And I don't have any paths to curing this loneliness the way some men do, the way most women do.

The "male loneliness" epidemic isn't a new phenomenon. Before the internet, this wasn't a topic being discussed. Here is a quote from Oscar Wilde.

The reality is, most men have always been historically alone. Society, for the most part, views you as a utility (whether you are a soldier dying during wars or some guy working in the factory breaking your back). You are always competing against your peer men. While most men intuitively understand that they are competing against other men, they still want to believe that if they find that one special woman who will create a "safe space island" for them where they can be themselves, it will solve their issues. In reality, women most probably aren't going to fall in love with the "real" you, they will fall in love with the projection of you. Once you think you are comfortable enough sharing your real self in the so-called "safe space", you will most probably disappoint her because there is going to be a very big disconnect between what she fell in love with vs what she is observing now (as evidenced by a lot of men sharing their experiences).

The bottom line is: most men aren't going to be your friends. Most women aren't going to be interested in your real self. The real blackpill that most men have to realize isn't that you are not successful because of your height or your jawline, the real blackpill is that as a man, you are truly alone, and you will be extremely lucky to have one or two close friends that you can truly trust. With all other people, your relationships are going to be mostly transactional.

Do you (like TRP) believe that all men experience and experience their sexuality in the same way? Or that women do? I don't think it's like that in the real world. Some are shy, some prude, some think sex is sacred while others have it with just about anyone, etc, variety is huge.

There is no misunderstanding, there’s a misappropriation of one man’s beliefs to others that he doesn’t subscribe to. It also applies to men towards women, any massive generalization like this doesn’t work because some men will want short-term relationships and don’t care about past and some want long-term relationships and do care about past. These are not the same people you’re talking about.

Secondly, I think you’re misunderstanding that when men refer to physical intimacy as a key part of a relationship, they’re not just talking about raw intercourse, they’re talking about handholding, cuddling, and more just as women do. You’re obviously not doing that with your friends, even though I’ve literally heard some women say they cuddled with their friends in which case they’re just supplementing a relationship with a friendship.

Its pretty simple actually.

1.For some men sex is meaningless in that they don't really care about the act if its with someone they don't love. But if your in a relationship with someone sex can be another way to be more closer to them since your intimate with them. And a relationship can fail if there isn't enough sex since.

2.Men don't want women with a high body count usually because they might have diseases ,will feel less satisfied with him ,compare him to other sex partners ,might be a nymphomaniac ,might have low self-esteem or could have sex with those men but not him. When men do get into relationships they often times want their partner who they trust and love to have sex with them.

Also this applies to women as well. Some women find sex with men they don't know as "meaningless" and even feel disrespected when a strange random man wants sex. Yet when they are in a relationship they want their Partners to have sex with them and view sex as an extension of their love and intimacy hence some women's frustration at their partners watching porn and not having sex with them. Some women don't like men constantly perving on other women and sexualizing them yet when they are in a relationship they want their partner to have sex with them and find them sexy.
