Supposedly a big hindrance upon the Chinese economy in the number of men not spending their money in order to attract a potential wife. This problem is especially acute due to the gender imbalance in China. At least Chinese men are smart enough to know that they should be saving money from the start of their very first job, unlike American men.

It also hurts American men that they’re expected to spend a bunch of money on rent living on their own rather than being able to live with their parents and save more. Women and even other men look poorly at men who do this, though, even though it makes good financial sense. Of course, being American men, the men who do do this are probably wasting their money on stupid stuff rather than saving it and investing it like they should be.

The problems many individual manospherians have ARE related to body and/or subculture. And most manospherians lean right wing culturally and economically.

The combination of these two factors leaves a huge blind spot in the economic basis for our gender trouble. We are an astoundingly materialistic culture with crazy accelerating inequality. Further, women are increasingly winning in the MEDIAN case economically while men continue to be ascendant in the high performance tail of the distro. This means male provider game is increasingly worthless for median folks. (But not for the minority of men who are both physically and financially attractive).

The “winning” response in the short term for men IS to abandon the nice prosocial provider mentality bc it just ain’t worth as much to women for the individualist part of their lives and really only reverses when they wanna have kids. Women today simply don’t NEED men as much, and until shit gets really “bad” they won’t for the forseeable future. It leaves a lot of surplus men. (Again, until women want families).

For men who are physically attractive it’s good. For men who are physically and economically attractive it’s GREAT. For men who are only economically attractive, it’s very easy for them to feel valued for nothing else and not even valued for what they do have. And for men who aren’t much of either? Eww you’re a gross liability. A creep. You can’t sit with us. The women don’t have want them around and neither do the lucky men who still have a seat at the table.

The Future IS Female, basically.

I agree with this wholeheartedly and I'm really happy to see men taking a stand on this issue. I'm a female, happily married going on ten years, and my stance is this: Men do NOT spend money on women. Too many women treat men as financial objects and it is fucked up.

I married a forever alone type guy who'd had never had a serious relationship at 24 years old when I met him. He jumped in trying to spend all kinds of money on me, because that is what men think they HAVE to do to get women to like them. It just made me sad.

When we dated, we went dutch. We've lived together for years and keep separate accounts. We split the bills down the middle whenever possible (obviously stuff happens here and there).

This is the way couples should be doing it. A man isn't worth what he can provide. He has inherent value that doesn't need to be earned with a paycheck.

I really think men should ghost all women who expect them to pay for dates. Seriously, stand up for yourselves dudes. We women wanted equality, freaking give it to us. Treating men as providers is archaic and dehumanizing.

I think a lot of men don't understand how important security is for women. Its just as important as most men's view on sex. I mean, isn't that the top two reasons people divorce: sex and finances?

If it can be said there are a lot of men that aren't good prospects its equal reflection is that lots of women aren't worth marrying. The attempt to be egalitarian has made people boring as fuck.

Instead of actually trying to be interesting I see a lot of MGTOW or feminists just complain the opposite sex isn't worth it. That literally means these people are giving up on actually trying to be interesting themselves.

A young woman with any sense will understand her partner is at the beginning of his career and financial Independence at 23, as she will be in the same shoes.

So either this guy chose princesses that went straight from daddy's credit card to a relationship, or.....given that mgtow is mentioned, this story is bullshit and there were additional factors in to why he got dumped.
