I think you can turn the numbers back on her. Women have an abundance in online dating because they can see up and down the track. But they want the top of that scale and assume they should have it regardless of where they are on their own scale. The women I match with on OLD are for sure on the bottom end of looks for women I meet and they usually have a bunch of asterisks on their profile like kids or debt or a million roommates. Its just that low class women can also have abundance because unless you're specifically screening for an LTR a lot of guys will entertain a woman for the chance of a quickie.

An average woman's match is an average man. An average man is 5'9 and 200 pounds. If that doesn't give you a ladyboner then your ass better be fucking phenomenal because gross dudes are your range.

I think the woman is right. You see what is happening is that there is a very loud 5% of men who spam every single profile. It is not that these men are "losers" per se, it is that their messages mean nothing.

I know this because I'm a bisexual man and I get a lot of low quality messages from a small minority of gay men who are spamming every profile. I get more messages total from men but all the messages are "hi". Among actually wanting to meet me messages I get way more from women than men (of course, since there are more women who like men than men who like men).

For whatever reason there are just some guys who do this. When I try to reply to these spam messages I get one sentence responses which are not actually reading what I write. I bet if you were actually try to meet up with these guys they would probably flake because they have literally messaged everyone and their message is basically the equivalent of a profile view - they are unlikely to actually be interested in you.

They're just messaging everybody. Cheep cheep cheep like a cricket trying to find a mate, everyone in the vicinity gets their message but it's just noise.

I contended that men now have an additional reason not to commit: because a woman can sign up with an online dating app (Tinder, Bumble, Match, etc) and within about 72 hrs have about 300 men who want to connect with her.

Even if this were true I don't see why this leads to the conclusion of not committing.

The 15 attractive guys out of 300 have tons of options (because all the women want them and not the others), even if the other 285 don't. That means they have less incentive to have a serious relationship with all of the online dating women.

Oh yeah women do have abundance. I absolutely agree with this. 15 of those 700 men are probably really decent guys. Another 15 of those 700 may well rape her or kill her. 100 of those guys may give her an STD ; women are more susceptible to venereal diseases. 350 of those guys would walk out on her if they fathered a child. No woman has a perfect filter to figure out the who is a winner, loser or just down right dangerous.

I'm not saying it is better for men. Men can face soul sucking amount of rejection and loneliness. I'm just pointing our how very very different it is for men and women in the dating world. The number of opportunities women have for romance and sex explains very little of what it is like to be a young woman dating.

Of course, women want to get the sympathy and say that THEY have it harder ALWAYS because of their innate "victim complex".

Abundance mentality is a powerful tool when it comes to dating; it allows whomever "wields" it to never be alone (overwhelmingly women get it).

Even if she's not 1000% sure that the guy is what she's looking for, she can say yes to a date or hangout just to have company.

Got to love that women call these "unqualified" guys "losers", like they don't matter that "they don't have feelings because they're guys".

Who does society think is using these forums? Guys need the help because no one really cares about them as much as society cares about females.

Pull up a pretty picture of a woman, make an online dating account and try to act real. So have a real profile that's filled in and try to date, not have ONS. Don't swipe everyone, just swipe who you like.

Obviously, men are cheap and abundant, dime a dozen. This is not to belittle any man. Women are costly and precious in demand.

Hookups and marriage are two different things. For example, a women during short term hook up will not worry about bank balance, jobs, stability, personality also matter.

There is a shortage of man who are very good looking (7/10 and more), tall, fit, 6 figure salary and good personality willing to commit to women.

Agreed, and I'd also add that both sides on OLD are largely comprised of "losers" aka mediocre people, but women seem (understandably) oblivious or unfazed of their own condition. Do you think the top echelon of women who date musicians, sports stars, movie celebrities, attractive CEOs, etc stalk Tinder?

Most of the women on OLD are average, meaning a little overweight, average looks that they max out with makeup and camera angles, debt, mediocre social charm, and most of them still trying to figure out what to do with their life even up to their mid-late 20s. Granted the general population of men might be slightly worse off statistically, but the women aren't *that* much above men.

tldr - it's more true than you think, even female losers have abundance via online dating

I would have to side with you. One way to counter this argument is to point out that there is likely a 50:50 ratio of men to women on OLD. If the women thought most men are losers and the men didn't get dates out of the women, then these numbers would drop and you'd see people abandoning OLD. But doesn't seem to be happening.

Women are always picky, unless you just happen to bump into her when she's in her fuck phase. At which point she is way less picky. Online dating just makes things more anonymous. So women are a lot ruder.

Plus it's just such a waste of time. No quality woman uses online dating because she'll get so much attention from guys who aren't introverted in real life. Guys with social skills. Can you imagine the type of female who has to resort to OLD to meet guys given the interest that attractive females get on a daily basis at work, lunch, happy hour and the rest?

It is slightly location dependent but in about 80% of locations the quality for both genders is sub-par and attractive women avoid OLD like they do winos and the homeless.
