If you guys forgot about this thing called love, let's make this clear, people get attached and possessive over the people they like. It's what draws us together in the first place. Whether you like it or not sex is still a pair bonding experience for most people.

If you ask any millennials today (outside of the pill) what is the issue with dating right now most will tell you the same thing. People are overexposed and disposable, men and women both complain of getting ghosted left and right. All their friends are cycling through a bunch of different relationships unable to maintain something stable. Their parents divorced or at least a few people they know have been. The romanticism that led young couples to get married in their twenties has been replaced by hook up, corporate, and materialistic culture. And they are reminded of this 24/7 365 days a year now.

If you ask most single millennials today why they are single, 9/10 they'll tell you they don't see a reason to just jump into one. Because there isn't a reason to grow attached to another person and risk emotional disappointment over and over. Some people might denounce this reasoning because it's outcome dependence, but it really hurts people at the end of the day. Unrequited attachment and emotional pain are distracting (sometimes traumatic) and there's already so much we all worry about day to day.

People have more information to make calculated descsions about who they choose to be intimate with. The advent of the internet gave everyone the ability to analyze what a relationship would look like with another person within seconds. It's a blessing because you save time immediately filtering who you know won't work. But it's a curse because eventually you can almost find every little nit pick to not even try. Even the dating apps like Tinder are designed for you to keep using them, not find someone and delete it.

This is why we see schools of thought like MGTOW and FDS/ Both sides are just internally screaming "Why are you worth it? Why should I trust you? Prove you are different from the rest."

And it just translates to vitriol. Not even just on reddit but almost everywhere you look. It manifests into women being kind to men being called a "Pick Me" also Men being kind to women being called a "Simp"

We are all one people first, the human race. We can't forget that we do need each other to make society prosper. That's what its always been about. We do a damn good job at complimenting each other when we find the right person to do it with. However, this can't happen if everyone is completely self serving and selfish.

This isn't some high IQ or inspirational rant or anything, but when I read the internet sometimes I feel like too many people are drinking the varying pills koolaid.

Nevertheless, If I were to have only one say in what more people ought to do, it would be to try to find a reason to give someone out there a chance.
