Married for 31 years. I always wear my band. My husband always wears his too.

It is the symbol and reminder of my vows to the man I love.

No opinion on those who don't wear them.

Edit: On a side note, we don't have matching bands. Mine is plain his has designs.

If I don't know them, I assume they're unmarried. If I do know them, I figure it's none of my business.

Neither of us ever take ours off. If we're in a situation where it isn't practical to wear the metal ones, we have some silicone and elastomer stunt rings. Married 13+ years.

His grandparents ran a nightclub for quite a while several decades ago, and they said it was disheartening how many wedding bands they found during clean up.

I think there's nothing nefarious about not wearing them all the time. I don't wear mine to work or at home but if I go out adulting otherwise I do. Learned the hard way not to wear them at the park when my son took a chunk out of himself slamming into me accidentally! Active kids and prongs/sharp edges are bad town.

My grandfather doesn't wear his ring most the time. But he has a blue collar job if you ring gets caught in a machine you can get degloved.

I have this really bad habit of fiddling with jewellery and losing it. I nonchalantly take things on and off and eventually lose them.

My parents don’t have them so I don’t think anything of it, other than that the couple decided not to make jewelry a priority in their relationship.

My partner has a silicone band that he's always forgetting random places. He works a blue collar job. Neither of us really cares. I never want to take mine off because it's my favorite piece of jewelry (not silicone, rose gold and sapphire, and he made my ring).

We live in one of those incredibly small towns where everyone knows he's Mr. Hb3234 who lives on Mulberry Lane and has 2 dogs named Blu and Berry. I wonder if I'd feel differently if we lived in a big urban city.

Not married but I see more and more married couples make the conscious choice to not even have rings. And it makes more sense imho. Rings are just an expensive archaic tradition pushed by commercial interests.

Married for 10 yrs.

I wear mine all the time unless I am doing manual labor. I love it. My husband wears his all the time as well. I wouldn't care if he didn't. A ring doesn't make a marriage.

The only ppl I know who don't, are those who work in manual jobs - my sister and brother in law are in the landscaping business, so they don't wear their wedding rings.

Before I got married I thought this would be a bigger deal to me than it is. I wear my wedding ring maybe 50% of the time and my husband hardly ever wears his. Neither of us have ever been jewelry people, he has a job where he works with his hands and could potentially damage or lose his ring, and I have a lot of borderline autistic sensory issues about things touching my skin when I'm hot (and I live in Texas, so it's always hot). Plus, frankly, we both forget a lot.

So, while I used to side-eye people who didn't wear their rings, I've learned through experience that it's not always some nefarious deliberate choice, and not wearing it doesn't make you any less married.

My parents don’t have rings. My dad was a broke, unemployed 19yo kid when mum got pregnant so no engagement ring and their parents paid for their shotgun wedding. They weren’t about the pay for rings as well lmao

My husband got his tattooed because he learned by trial and error that he’s not a jewelry guy. And I’ve seen people lose chunks of their finger flesh in work accidents and ewwwww.

I would assume it's because of work or because their fingers got fat or swollen. If the ring was very large and got stuck on everything then it would make sense to only wear it during the right occasions.

Within my own marriage I like to think that if there is no reason to take it off then the ring stays on.

I don't really care. My coworkers don't wear their because we're not allowed to wear jewellery at work and they leave it off even outside of work because they work graveyard and sleep all day.

I don't wear my engagement ring most of the time simply because I read that you should take it off once you're home, take it off before washing your hands, etc. to preserve the condition. After I take it off I forget to put it on for weeks until I remember again.

My dad never wears his wedding ring. The middle part of his fingers is quite wide so the circumference of the ring needed to be big enough to get it over the finger but the part where the ring would sit is more slim than the middle part sobit was always sliding and slipping around and he almost immediately took it off and never wore it again. He also manages heavy machinery at work and couldn't wear it anyway.

I doubt my SO would wear his because of his work as well. Maybe on a chain around the neck but I wouldn't care one way or the other. I intend to buy the most possible cheapest rings anyway without them breaking or changing color. I was thinking about steel rings. I don't really care much for them, neither does SO. I love my engagement ring and this ring was way more important to me and is the most valuable piece of my jewelry because I don't spend much money on jewelry. And I don't wear it regularly anyways, so I don't plan on spending a lot of money on the wedding bands and SO agrees. They're not much more than a prop to use during the ceremony.

I usually wear mine daily and take it off at night but haven't for a few weeks now with the pandemic. Occasionally I will switch it out for other rings (I have some others that I like and don't like wearing more than one at a time lol).

Our rings are kind of matching so I like when we wear them together. Feels like a small reminder that we're part of a team

You missed a valid reason for not wearing one, safety at work.

I wore mine for a few years, until it tried to kill me.

My wife bought me a new ring, that I've worn once or twice, usually at her behest when we go out.

She, now has three full engagement and wedding ring sets, plus a few artistic ones that I've bought her over the decades.

I wore mine. I really liked it. At least for me, I really enjoyed my identity as a married man. I think a lot of PPD BPers don't understand how invested we were in TBP before getting red pilled.

I wear mine and my wife wears hers (married 17 years). I don't think we strictly care one way or the other. I take mine off sometimes because it can bother me when typing or doing some activity or because I don't want yo risk damaging it. I do like to wear it, but that's just me.

I don't think anything of people wearing or not wearing them. I will notice if a women is wearing one or an engagement ring but that's sort of a habit. I'm more comfortable around married or engaged women. A lot of guys don't wear them at work because they can be hazards.

My father never wore his, but he was a very unadorned man and did a lot of intense labor around the house. A band would have been a hazard more than anything else.

My husband barely remembers to wear his, he has a tendency to lose it around the house.

I wear mine more as a fashion piece and I like to change up the style every few years or so.

My mother never took off her original ring until it broke, then she took after me and wore the replacement ring as a fashion piece.

All if this to say, I like pretty jewelry but I don't imbue it with much meaning since its easily lost, broken, or hazardous.

I don't have an opinion on people who don't wear their wedding rings, who am I infer anything plain observation?

No opinion, I work with my hands and go to the gym regularly so I don't wear it. Conversely I wouldn't suspect my wife of doing anything untoward if she didn't want to wear one either.

The increase in people in commited but unwed relationships and people who choose not to wear their ring has surely made the whole looking for a wedding ring thing redundant?

My mother nearly cried when my dad suggested changing to a silicone band for his deployment, since they can be more safely and quickly removed in an emergency. I've only ever seen her not wearing hers once. I've never seen dad without his. And I swear they'll be divorced when my sister is out of the house.

Negative unless they have a good reason I can verify, like being at the beach or working in nature without glove, or being too poor to afford it. Anyrhing else seems like they're trying to mislead others and get hookups.

Even If I ever got married (which will never happen with today's laws) I wouldn't wear a ring because first of all I don't like rings and second of all I don't need the "symbolic" of a piece of metal wrapped on my finger to show my love. Funnily enough the rings actually symbolize chains, not love. They symbolize that the man and the women are chained together and can never leave their marriage. In some old cultures the wife and husband were actually chained together for the first day of their marriages. Not that romantic anymore if you know this don't you think?
